nfactwejust pushed some guys over. Run it all together. I don't hear an S at all. I'm sorry....
I don't think this has anything to do with BL's job and everything to do with running upon someone that night for some unknown reason.

Pushed some guys over to me means he got out of his vehicle and they pushed a car over to the side of the road. One car on one side of the road and one on the other side and they are both headed towards Abilene.

Again, just my opinion here.

Why would there be 2 cars stuck, one going in each direction on the highway? A car accident? Surely Deputy Neal would have seen something heading to Brandon's truck.

UNLESS he's talking about his truck and another car on the opposite side of the highway?

And who is WE?

I think when he says "out here going towards Abilene" he is just giving his location. I think when he says "on both sides" he's talking about vehicles on both sides of the highway and I suspect he's talking about his truck on one side and the car they pushed on the other (south) side.

Question is, was he set up or was this a totally randon meeting?

After listening to that last video I hear "in fact"...

Wow! The new video has me back at square one. Why am I drawn to this case? Why? :back:

  • #843
Yes I think that is likely what he means. On both sides...his truck on one side and the car on the other side of the highway. Both sides makes sense and it goes along with "there's one car here".

Did Deputy Neal and Kyle see a car out there near the truck? Did the car take off before Deputy Neal and Kyle arrived as Brandon lay dying in the bushes? It certainly wouldn't go along with a ping 3 miles away. I wish we knew if that was ping or gps data.

Ok I can finally hear it. "In fact" I do hear that now. If you think it would be normal to say "in fact" during a frantic 911 call? I don't know.

If the tape is altered, maybe we aren't hearing what he may have said prior to the in fact, like he's having to repeat himself. At 1st I heard panic & frantic in his voice but the more I listen to it, I hear agitation or aggravation. Like he's pissed off & whoever he's with I think he feels comfortable with them.

After the 911 call Brandon was in a field 10 minutes away bleeding. For all we know he was shot and died there. Animals could have dragged him off. Hate to say it but it's true.

Somewhere in one of the many comments I read, Audrey commented about there being a call from a stranded motorist or there actually being two 911 calls but in two different counties, and her reply was something like, "oh that explains the other cars that Kyle and I saw when they arrived at Brandon's truck. I have been searching for days for that comment!!!! I know I read it on one of the many missing pages. I also think that the comment the pregnant lady makes about that she would have stopped since she knew CPR, but since she was pregnant she did not. Who was she going to give CPR to? An abandoned truck??? She saw someone in distress. She would not have asked her mother to call 911 for a truck on the side of the road. She saw a fight, altercation or someone in distress or people trying to help someone in distress. I am beginning to wonder if that is why when people ask questions on the missing page, they get blocked or deleted. I privately messaged the missing page and got a very odd reply.

I just pray there are some answers soon. I want to find Brandon Lawson and I don't even know him.

New video!! I'm now convinced "just pushed some guys over" but what could push some guys over from both sides of a road? I wish they could slow it down enough to only put the one word "stapler" on there? Maybe hearing just one word over and over may bring it more clear? Could it be a term used for an 18-wheeler?

Man if I wasn't over the edge obsessing over this case before, that video just took me!

My brain is going.... What if Brandon was not out of gas but this car was stranded on the side of the road and he pulled over to help them? Ladessa said he would help anyone. I also read that these types or things have been happening in the area, where people fake a broken down car (or something of that sort) to get someone to pull over to help and then they rob them. What if Brandon called K and said bring my gun not some gas? That might explain the reason why K didn't get gas until the morning. Perhaps after thinking about it for a while he decided he better go get gas to make it look like that's what he was really doing out there. Or perhaps K was with him? And he called A and said go over my house and get my gun and bring it out here?

I just know the family isn't being totally honest in this. Have all their phones been checked? Did K buy gas cans at Stripes?

I thought about the pg woman's comment too and I think it's possible that a wounded Brandon tried to flag her down but she was afraid to stop. That would make much more sense. Perhaps she feels bad about it now. I wouldn't blame her for being afraid to stop, pregnant or not. It's out in the middle of nowhere on a very dark road. I hope she has talked to LE or is willing to.

And if Brandon and Kyle are felon's they cannot have guns and K/A certainly couldn't tell the cops this. They would have had to come up with another reason for B calling them out there. Just a thought...

BBM

I sure wish you could find that!! If the car was still there then it's totally possible that those in the car were chasing Brandon down in the woods. Did the car stay there the whole time K was searching until 4:30am? I just know K and A are not telling the truth about the entire events of the night.

Yes I do! That is why I feel that is what he says, because it is so natural for this part of Texas.

I believe you. But darn that is no help!!

Could that sound at end of 911 tape that is behind operator voice ( I don't know how to type the sound) others have said possible gunshots, others passing over bridge, could it be a tazer.?

  • #855
That tape makes me hear "taper just pushed some guys over".

I'm will you all, sucked into this case!

No, I don't think so. The "car passing" sound wasn't anything more than the automatic gain control of the recorder kicking in. It was merely raising the volume of the background noise to try to capture something useful.

FWIW: The area has been under severe drought conditions...so much so that the lake next to Robert Lee in Coke county is basically a dry lakebed now. That would also mean that the Colorado River past that lake and through the hwy 277 area would be very low. It seems it would not be a barrier to anyone on foot as they could cross it in many places. However it was a dark night and Brandon may not have known that.

I just checked weather conditions for the day/night Brandon disappeared. The nearest weather station I could access was in San Angelo.

August 8 - High 105, Low 73
August 9 - High 102, Low 72
August 10 - High 97, Low 73

Overnight winds were generally less than 10 mph. There was .18 inch of rain on the 8th. There was a thunderstorm a little past 8 p.m. on the 8th.

Humidity was in the 30's in the afternoon heat and was in the 87-93% range at night.

At the time Brandon made the 911 call the temperature was 78 degrees. Winds were calm-shows zero miles per hour - that would also mean no wind noise being picked up by the phone.

This very well could have been Brandon that the HR dog was hitting on. HR dogs are often trained on pig carcasses, thus the reason differentiating between human vs pig/hog can be an issue. LL stated that the Sheriffs wife said the dog hit on some strong hog blood (paraphrasing). From the article it sounds like they could not determine if the dog was hitting on hog or human thus the reason for extending the search. Nothing was found of Brandon's so it was probably assumed to be hog. There is really no way to know for sure.

If Brandon was near his truck at some point bleeding the dogs could have picked up the scent from his blood. TEXSAR was not brought in until Oct 24th well over 2 months after he went missing.

The TexSAR canines are highly trained. These HR dogs will not “hit” on varmint carcasses. However, dead hogs sometimes prove a distraction to HR animals. Each handler wears a gps device which provided an extremely detailed analysis of all area covered.
The search was extended to the northeast following one HR dog showing slight interest. However even with the extension, the search revealed no sign of Brandon Lawson – no remains, no clothing, no wallet, no cell phone, and no keys.

There are so many unanswered questions that one can only wonder. Where is the 401k check that was reportedly in the mail to Brandon when he disappeared? If Brandon wanted to run, wouldn't he take the 401k check with him? Did it come in the mail that day and was on him or did it arrive later? LL says his bank account is frozen. I would guess that means it's frozen to her and family. LE is not going to let them touch it until they know the outcome or much time has passed and rightfully so. I think they are probably watching it to see if B were to make any transactions. Perfectly normal in a MP case. Are the landowners truly not letting LL and company search? I don't know. I've seen several people on the fb page mention getting a lawyer and suing LE (which would never happen IMO) but if I were a landowner and some sue happy person wanted to search my property you can betcha it's not happening. NOT saying LL is sue happy, but just the mention of it by others would raise my concerns. It sounds like landowners were very willing and helpful to LE searching.
It sounds like Dep Neal was responding to someone else's call at 12:58 and not Brandon's. I'm still confused as to why they would have sent Dep Fox north of Bronte on hwy 277 if that's the case. Surely this (trucker?) motorist calling 911 would have given a good description of the location of Brandon's truck.
The 911 call. What is the reason LL released this?
Who is at fault? IMO if the story all happened as we know it, the only people LL could sue is K and A. Had they told the truth to Dep Neal at the truck Brandon probably would have been found IMO. The 911 dispatcher had some fault if she did not report the call to anyone IMO but WE can hardly make out what he's saying and we have the ability in hindsight to listen to it over and over and over. Imagine if we all just got one shot at hearing it.
I don't know if they have the ability to trace cell phone gps or anything of that nature in this small county where 911 calls are taken at a nursing home.
I have so many questions and most would be directed at LL K and A surrounding the events of that night. I don't think these questions are ever going to be answered as LL seems to take great offense to those asking questions about the details in the case. The Sheriff's wife seems to be overly defensive also. Perhaps there is good reason for this, I don't know?
I just hope some more time is spent searching BY LE. If he's found everyone will want answers to what could have happened and the best way to protect any evidence is to have the search done by those who are trained.
