Found Safe TX - Brenda Estrada, Brandon, 9, Ashley, 9, El Paso, 9 Mar 2017

At around 4:30 p.m., Brenda Estrada and her two children were taken at gunpoint by her boyfriend Miguel Angel Mendez. This happened at the 300 block of Chelsea.

Mendez and the victims were last seen leaving the area in a green four-door Acura with the Texas license plates HGV-4546.

Mendez has violent tendencies and is considered armed and dangerous. Mendez is believed to be in possession of an unknown black handgun.

Brenda Estrada is four months pregnant and was last seen wearing black sweat pants, black sweater, and white tennis shoes. Estrada is also in company of her two children, 9-year-old Brandon Jesus Estrada and 9-year-old Ashley Michelle Estrada.

Mendez is wanted on assault charges that occurred on March 8 and that Brenda Estrada was the victim of that assault. Aggravated kidnapping warrants are forthcoming.

This is the kind of case an Amber Alert was designed for. It's gotten so watered down that girls who leave with their boyfriends and noncustodial mothers who run with their kids get an alert, making people inclined to kind of turn away.

This is the kind of alert that should make everyone in the area and extended area print this out or keep it on their phone, with the license plate and pictures so when they're out they can look.

Prayers they will be found safe.

The search for the man wanted for kidnapping his girlfriend and her two children is over.
Officers at police headquarters tell ABC-7 that 29 year old Miguel Mendez was taken into custody Friday morning.
The arrest came after an Amber Alert triggering a state-wide manhunt.
So far no word on Medez's girlfriend, Brenda Estrada, or her two children.

No word on Brenda and her children...please let them be ok!

I know! That article was just updated 10 minutes ago, and I'm watching a different channel on TV. They're still broadcasting the AA information. Hopefully more info (good info!) comes out soon!

In a tweet released Friday morning, El Paso Police said the Amber Alert was canceled and that Brenda Estrada along with her two children were found safe and unharmed. Police say the investigation is ongoing.

We're having some good luck this morning! Estrada family was found and the toddler in Alberta Christina was also found safe!
