A little more information in this news article. She was at a barbecue, called her boyfriend of 7 months about 20 times, showed up at his house late at night but he stated he would not open the door to her as he had another woman with him. He said she drove off very upset. Missing woman last seen in Log Cabin, sister says

The Sheriff’s office joined the search yesterday. The Log Cabin Police Department, the Addison Police Department, the Henderson County District Attorney’s Office and the Texas Rangers are also involved in the search. The more eyes and ears the better to find this lovely young woman.

Oh no. Log Cabin is sandwiched in between a 2 sections of Cedar Creek lake. I wonder if she left mad or just heartbroken. Sometimes highly charged emotional situations like this feel gigantic at the time and like the end of the world. Sounds like he did her a favor. I hope she’s ok and laying low.

I hope they’re looking closely at that lake. Driving late at night, while distraught, can be very dangerous. I also hope that they’ve questioned her ‘boyfriend’, and ‘girl he was with’—carefully, and separately.

From the above article:
“The investigator tried to ping her phone, and it is in New York. He asked my mom if my sister had any reason to go to New York. She said, 'No.' She is very close to my mom. If she were going anywhere, she would have let my mom know.”

Her phone pinged in NY?! I wonder how it got there. That’s strange....

Oh, crap: water. Every time I see water around where a person possibly went missing, I get all freaked out. Being upset late at night, it would be easy to have an accident right into water. I hope they find her safe soon.

Interesting post on 24-January... This case clearly feels domestic...
I saw that but her marital status as reported by the media in the links in this thread referenced a boyfriend, not a spouse. Odd.

Omg....thank you!!! I’m such a dork.:p

No, you´re not. I assumed NY, NY too at first until I read a post on FB mentioning there is a nearby New York in Texas.

I wondered about her having a drink or 2 before she stopped at that guy’s house. It could heighten her emotions. I pray she drove off somewhere to clear her head and will contact family soon. I pray she’s NOT in the water.... jmo

I saw somewhere later that New York was wrong, and the last ping was Log Cabin. I agree with all of you about the water being frightening. It was late at night and the area is not lit. Her car also has not been found. Her public posts sounded very marriage oriented. If she found him with someone else, that could have been devastating. I question his story. Sounds like he denied seeing her at first, and then admitted it later. Wonder if there was a girl there or that was just his story.

They had a search there today and came up empty. Car still hasn't been located.
