BG just used 5 minutes of her break to get to the employee parking, and she will need 5 minutes to return, leaving her just 20 minutes to eat/smoke.
Is it a standard employee thing that meal breaks in the U.S. are so short?
:(

Yes, and not legally required either

edited to add; there may be a state that requires it- but most don't. Federal labor law does not. Breaks aren't required either

yeah. As an example, at grocery stores, hourly workers clock in and out for a half-hour unpaid lunch. Additionally, say you clock back in at 29 minutes accidentally, the employer will get in trouble.

my current job in public benefits eligibility has one hour which is much better.

A lot of manufacturing plants only do 30 minutes for meals. Got to punch out and back in. Get written up if over 30 minutes.

I noticed the uncomfortable, shirt shirk/hands in pockets body language too. My interpretation was she was feeling uneasy because of her surroundings. She looked back to make sure the guy wasn't following her.

Hm. I see your point. I thought she looked relaxed and casual because I walk like that myself, always hands in my pockets. But it could be either.

That is heartbreaking! But I suspected as much with the dog and pony show with the media. Children should never be used like that. And the little one should have been completely shielded. :(
I agree. Those kids were being exploited, in my opinion. And it seemed with the way their pleas were worded, that they were told that BM had run off, refusing to return home.

To me, hands in pockets is generally a super relaxed thing, BUT it can be an action taken by someone uncomfortable who wants to be seen as relaxed. I kept getting the feeling like she thought she was being watched, and that could be just from deep-seated insecurity which I fear she has, given some of the more colorful details of their codependent relationship.

Do we know for sure her phone hasn't been used since that text?

I hope they're able to get some decent info from her phone. was it turned off just after that text, did it die later, were there any calls ingoing or outgoing before or during work?
Did her girlfriend call her before her break?

did she hurt herself to get out of all of the home pressure she was under? sometimes emotionally abusive relationships take so much courage, planning, emotional prepping to leave that it can feel more worth it to just stay in the relationship, especially when exhausted, insecure or beaten down. until you just cannot take it any more and don't see any going back.
So worried for Brianna!!!

She doesn’t seem to be holding anything to eat in the video. Wouldn’t she want to eat on her meal break?

Do you think there are ever food vendor carts or food trucks at that hour somewhere nearby in the direction she was walking towards?

No, never. I cannot stress enough. This is not somewhere you want to be at, after dark.

However, maybe Brianna does go out to the parking lot sometimes during break, or maybe she does go out to grab a snack sometimes during break......and she doesn't tell her girlfriend. Because, why should she have to?

Perhaps the girlfriend doesn't know 100%, and only assumes Brianna doesn't.

If I worked there, I'd want a bit of fresh air and daylight every so often.

The shifts are 10 hours long and finish around midnight/01.00hrs. So, starting around 15.00hrs then. Doesn't leave much time for rest, recuperation and freetime. By the time she got home and got some sleep, there wouldn't be too many hours before she'd have to head back in again.

I can see exhaustion/apathy setting in before long. She's a young lady of 22 working in a male-dominated industrial plant. It sounds hard work. This Dairy do have a high staff turnover.

Loved ones of missing Amarillo woman express concerns (newschannel10.com)
[...]

“Our conversation was normal, there was no indication of anything,” SM, Brianna Gilbert’s partner.

[...]

They say none were reported in the same area, and all the possible sightings were reported more than 24 hours following the event.

[...]

Today, the couple would’ve been celebrating their youngest’s daughter fifth birthday.

SM says Gilbert would not have missed this day.

“It was pretty much like a yes day for her,” said SM. “Anything that K wanted to do, Brianna said yes to. If she wanted to put makeup on her, she would let her, if she wanted to put her hair up or brush it, she would let her, nail polish. It was just a yes day for her.”

Gilbert’s mom it’s currently in the process of registering Brianna in NamUs, the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.

Taylor is she a nail-biter when she's nervous? She looks like she goes to bite her nail for a split second right when she leaves the gate. Some people nail-bite even if they aren't nervous but it made me wonder.

According to the FB page, the girlfriend says they first met approx 2 years ago??

Like Taylor said, there is plenty to be found online that they had an on again-off again relationship, and lets just say it seemed pretty off a lot of the time... wonder if the internet connections were to blame for that.

I need to get off tiktok !!
