Before Caleb was reported missing, he was preparing for school and to go fishing the next day, Randy Harris said. “He was texting me different lures in his tackle box,” and had ordered lunch for the next day: Lunchables and a Red Bull.

He was talking about long-term plans: He had signed a lease for the next school year and was looking forward to a job in Alaska this summer, his father said.

Is it possible that the hour time discrepancy is due to a clock not being changed for daylight Savings time?
Possibly, but unlikely, given that I assume Uber uses its own clock that automatically changes. (Relying on some local clock would be impossible to do their business). This isn't like CCTV where the date or time is manually set, or a phone ping (which turned out to be a big issue with the Ronnie/Beverly Barker case, as the ping time was reported in the wrong time zone).

"He said his son wouldn’t leave at 3 a.m. without shoes or keys. “That’s not a sign of somebody trying to leave,” he said."

What was the weather in Corpus Christi that night?

I feel bad for the parents.
I still feel that something happened in that apartment complex.

The more details I hear, I wonder if he stepped outside to initially meet the Uber Eats delivery person (if you're just stepping out for a couple minutes, I could see going barefoot with only a phone). But in the interim of him going outside and the delivery driver arriving, something happens to him or pulls him away. If the food was outside the correct door, then the delivery was completed. I'm sure LE have established whether the delivery driver saw Caleb, heard him, interacted with him at all, etc.

It's still so curious though. Where would he have gone so quickly or what could have happened to him during that short time frame? My understanding is he was either seen and/or was communicating with people around 2:45 AM and his phone went dead or was turned off at 2:58. I guess it's possible the battery died. But it could also be that whatever happened, happened by that point.

I just don't get the vibes that he purposely took off. Completely MOO but I am currently feeling some sort of foul play here sadly.

Good thought, but Caleb went missing two weekends ago (early morning Monday 3/4) and the time change occurred this past weekend (early morning on Sunday 3/10)

Over a dozen volunteers combed through a field in a grid search Thursday picking up anything man-made.

The grass was incredibly high and not many people traffic through that area.

[...]

The Coast Guard was also a part of the search involving helicopter crews within the Osa Bay and shoreline.

Drainage ditches, the road near Caleb's apartment, and a whole map have been scoured through with no leads in sight.

[...]

The Corpus Christi Police Department said that divers, cadets, detectives, and officers are working on every tip that comes in.

His parents, Randy and Becky Harris, said he had a good day fishing on Sunday, and that night, he was getting ready for the week, ordered food, and took the dog out.

"Sometime between 2 and 3 in the morning, he just vanished, and his Uber Eats was still at the door," Becky said.

"At 2:44, he was walking the dog, and there's a timestamp from Snapchat where he had sent a video of the dog to my daughter. Then at 2:59 is when the phone was shut off or went dead," Randy said.

Later in the morning, his roommates couldn't find him.

I wish they'd do a cell phone location mapping investigation. I know that's a last effort, because it's invasive of the public's privacy, but it just seems likely at this point that he encountered someone he didn't expect. (Or the investigators don't know about).

I have come to the conclusion from reading about the community he lived in that there were security gates that had no been working for quite some time and a problem with random people being in there that did not belong.

Absolutely nothing GOOD happens after midnight. There are currently 3 males in the news who are missing (probably more that are less known) and they all disappeared at the wee hours of the morning. Who goes out to walk a dog at 2 a.m.? Or orders food at 3 a.m.? Maybe because I'm 59 and not 29, but definitely not going to do it in today's world/country! Evil seems to be everywhere now, especially at night!! Stay safe everyone!

I'm assuming they've checked out the Uber Eats driver? He/she was last one to see him. His ordered food was left at the door of apartment so what the hell happened? Any video cameras nearby??

I’ve read she was checked out.

If the dog was young/a puppy and/or he just got home that late, I don't think it's odd to take a dog out around 3 AM. Puppies are often up to potty in the middle of the night. Also, regardless of dog age, if he just got home, the dog may have asked to go out (my dog always wants us to take her out when we get home from somewhere). I know it was said he was "walking" the dog, but he may have just put it on a leash and walked it around a bit to go potty before bed, rather than going off on a lengthy exercise-type walk with the dog.

When are exams at this school? When does the semester finish? How was he doing in school?

I'm trying to understand how his dad can say what Caleb was up to at 2:30 am in the morning. Is it based on what his friends reported?

He has lots of pics on FB of him fishing and hunting with his buddies. Who owns the boat Caleb is on and where is it docked? Are weapons in the house?

I understand that the PI that the family hired believes that he was taken or abducted. But, he was barefoot and it was 2 am, why would someone randomly think he had any money on him and stage a robbery? And, if robbery was the motive, why not just knock him out, rob him and run. Why take all the time to hide the body?
1. Where was he all evening prior to returning and taking the dog out and ordering food?
2. What about him made his room mates believe he was in trouble so early the next day?
3. Was his phone manually turned off or just quit transmitting, can LE tell the difference?

This has Jason Landry all over it to me. MOO MOO MOO MOO
I'd really like to know where the PI has come to that conclusion. Based on what? No one, that I have heard, has mentioned anything about his demeanor.

What are the odds that some bad actor would serendipitously be hanging around during a tiny time frame to not only accost a decent- sized adult male but spirit him away.

I think the room mates need to be questioned in depth. Something is off.

I’ve wondered how he was doing as well.

Here’s the academic calendar.

Harris said he spoke with his son the night before he vanished and everything was fine. He received the news that Caleb was missing from his wife hours later.

[...]

“It’s his intentions. I mean, texting us, Snapchatting his friends, everything," Harris said. "They just got a new dog that evening and they were out playing with the dog and signed the lease on his apartment for next year.”

[...]

Harris said Caleb's dream is to work outdoors as a Texas Game Warden or an Environmental Lawyer.

“He's just smiling all the time. Loves to play guitar," Harris said.

His Dad said "they" just got the dog. Is they he and his roommates?
