LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department on Monday asked for the public’s help in finding former Texas Tech student Cameron Long, 21, who was last seen early Friday morning.

Long’s family stated in a social media post that he was last seen at Rodeo 4, a dancehall and bar located in the 5400 block of 4th Street. LPD said Long was last heard from at 3:29 a.m.

Long was described as having blonde hair and blue eyes, 5’9” tall and 164 pounds.

According to Long’s family, he drives a white 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500C with a camper and a license plate that reads, “CFJ7438.”

Officials at Texas Tech University told EverythingLubbock.com that Long had not been enrolled at Texas Tech University since 2021.

Anyone with information was asked to call Detective Thurman at (806)-775-2782.

Is Cameron's car missing as well? How was he getting home from the bar? I really hope that he didn't get in a car accident.

I wonder if his family was aware that he was no longer enrolled. I hope he's found safe and soon!

The Lubbock PD facebook, noted in the OP's post,
says "in the area of 4th Street and Slide Road".
Where would he have been driving to, are his folks
in Zoar Av (78th St)? Seems like the only way you
could lose a vehicle going down Slide Rd would be
if you ended up driving into the lake in Jack Stevens
Park (but is it even deep enough there for a car?).

According to documents LPD provided, Cameron Long, 21, had a fight with his girlfriend prior to his disappearance and the last thing he said to her he was going to enlist in the military and hoped to be drafted.

Oh no! How very sad. Rest peacefully Cameron. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

At this time, foul play is not suspected. However, the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
