I notice an absence of further comment from DB's mother MB. DB was promptly arrested, and his mother was quick to tell the media that he was being setup, framed. She said he was home all night, so it could not have been him. I have not seen any further comments from her in 3 weeks? I also doubt she attended the community meeting. I am not sleuthing her, only her lack of further public defense of DB. MOO

I think police can give them leeway if they thought their kid was sleeping, and they went to sleep too, thinking the kid was there all night.

But we may not ever know if that is what happened or if she knew he was out running the streets.

Great question in the age of fake facts.
Lying to cover- up can be charged as making a false statement, which is a crime. Obstruction is lying that seriously complicates or throws
off an investigation or arrest.
There’s always the “to the best of my recollection” magic eraser, too.
Speaking to media, people can and do lie, make things up or take advantage of the chance to serve there own interests. It makes a good reporter’s job tough if doing investigative reporting.

At least one of these neighbors ID'd him out of a lineup.

Did one of these neighbors ID BM w an in-person lineup or a "six pack photo ID"?
And who ID'ed him? Monica S? G'p'a w 2 y/o g'dau? Or someone else?

Exactly what can she say, DB has been found guilty already by the public, without a trial and lack of evidence. She said how she felt about the case, and has probably has talked to DB, and his attorney most likely not to say anything about the case with anyone.

Seemed odd that out of all the videos released, some the subject is disgusting himself and others he's not. JMO. Maybe it's two different people, or multiple people. Just seems odd to be unmasked during daylight and at night co er your Identity.

The only evidence that is available to us is the statements from law enforcement. "That in the video the homeowners identified this individual as DB and we where able to arrest him on kidnapping and bugulary." During the grandfather's interview, I assume he pressed charges. It was from 3 months earlier, I believe the police where already involved and at time of the incident, the grandfather didn't press charges. I haven't heard one person in any interview or that community meeting stating that was DB. So who else identified him is just speculation. The police haven't said a word about this case to the public in over 2 weeks.

Agree. Tried searching this first. Does anyone else see the light flashing and figure of a person in the window to the left? Someone else was outside.

Maybe he abandoned any item of clothing that got blood on it, including the mask?

Even though he looked straight at the camera in the first video, the camera was a nanny-cam type shaped like a rabbit (from what I've seen others post here) — so he may not have realized he was being filmed.

Maybe he got so wrapped up in what he was doing, he didn't care anymore. Or maybe he's mentally ill like his mom and attorney say. Regardless, if he's not found incompetent to stand trial, I believe a jury will conclude that is indisputably DB in both videos.

I posted this before, but it was taken down because I didn't link where it is from. Not only does DB's body type match the person caught on video trying car doors and breaking security cameras, but the video of the person who took Cash has the same body type and the exact same shoes:

More importantly, DB's FACE matches the face of the person who looked directly into the camera and then abducted Cash:

IMO, if you compare the face in the abduction video to the mugshot of DB and you can't tell that really is DB taking Cash, you just don't want to see. Exact same nose, mouth, proportions, same hair, same expression even.

Had all these neighbors actually seen DB close up & long enough at other times to nail the abduction-guy-vid as being DB? See him in daylight? Or only on Ring cam vid of someone pulling/opening car door handles? Or maybe from across the street while walking their dogs at night?
Could some of those ID's been equivocal?
If LE actually specified that X number of neighbors ID'ed vid guy as DB w no exception, I missed it, which is entirely possible.

Domestic violence is a no drop policy once filed. I don’t know about not pressing charges once police are aware of it. But I think bc not reporting a felony is a crime, if police are aware of DV, they’ll pursue it. Write it up and present to the DA.

this is true but they often do drop cases with uncooperative witnesses unfortunately.

If we see him on video at night, testing a door handle, and peering into a car---what does that mean? Was that his car? NO...he had no reason to check the door and peek into the window. He was obviously looking at cars to break into.

Not everyone had ring cameras. If he tested one car door handle, I bet he tested many others. I have no doubt he was breaking into cars in the community for awhile. Just because he was not the one accused not does not mean he wasn't the culprit. Most car break-ins were not 'solved' because it happens in the middle of the night.

a little off topic, but one night we forgot to lock my car, in my well lit driveway with cameras, and a tall thin clean young looking guy got in and tossed all my stuff around and took nothing. that was the second time it had happened in my driveway only the first time we didnt have cameras. i wonder if it wasnt the same guy since they just tossed my car taking nothing. the first time, they did it to my across the street neighbor too.

my point was i wonder if there has been some of that around DB's hood.

If went to trial today with the evidence that is presented to us, this moment. He would walk. All that they have as far as I know are the statements of MS and KM. That's all that was released linking him. I doubt any jury would convict him on a grainy nanny cam.
