*Pretrial Conference Hearing (@ 9am CT) – TX – Cecilia Huerta Gallegos (30) (missing July 7, 2019, reported missing July 8, 2019 by husband, San Antonio, not found) - *Reyes Huerta Gallegos (36/now 39) arrested & charged (8/24/21) & indicted (11/16/21) & arraigned (11/19/21) with murder (by manner & means unknown to the grand jury). $250K bond lowered (1/14/22) to $200K. Bonded out of jail (1/26/22) @ $150K, on full house arrest/GPS monitoring. Bexar County
Previous charges: 1/13/20: Assault with bodily injury was dismissed as a material witness was missing. Plead guilty to filing a false police report & was sentenced to 6 months on the false report, but it only shows a credit for time served of 132 days - just over 4 months.
Trial was set to begin on 12/8/22 was continued to 3/30/22 but was continued on 11/7/24 & continued with no further dates.

The family of Cecilia Huerta Gallegos is speaking out after a judge modified bond conditions for her husband, Reyes Gallegos, who is charged with her 2019 murder.

Cecilia’s sister, Mireya Lopez, said the decision to loosen restrictions on Gallegos' bond has left the family devastated and fearful.

“It’s mostly about our safety – my older sister’s safety, the kids’ safety – because he does know where she lives,” Lopez said.

This week, a judge granted a request to alter Gallegos’ bond conditions. He will remain on GPS monitoring but is no longer confined to house arrest. He is now allowed to leave for work and must follow a court-enforced curfew.
The Bexar County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement that it objected to the bond modification.

Gallegos’ attorney, Louis Martinez, defended the change in a statement, saying, in part: “He has never had a single bond condition violation, and he has faithfully appeared for all of his court dates.”
