People with CAIS and Swyer Syndrome (XY chromosomes) are usually, on average, taller than XX women, though I suppose they could have misestimated height.

I work in cytogenetics, and I wouldn't be surprised if this individual had mosaic Turner syndrome (some XY cells, some with only one X chromosome). People with mosaic XY Turner are usually shorter than average and have a wide variety of phenotypes- They can appear as female, male, or in between. They could have been born appearing female and lived their entire life as a woman, or born appearing male or ambiguous and later transitioned. I don't know what type of genetic testing was done in this Doe's case, ie if they did a full karyotype to determine they had XY chromosomes or less specific testing that only identified that a Y chromosome was present in some capacity.
