Opelousas native missing in Houston; estranged husband wanted in her death

Houston police say they are looking for the estranged husband of a woman who was reported missing last week.

Police say that charges have been filed against 48-year-old Johnny Leon Wilson who is wanted in the death of his estranged wife 29-year-old Charine Young. Young was last seen at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018.



Houston police report that, according to Charine Young’s son, he was with her when she drove to Wilson’s apartment in Houston the afternoon of November 10. Young entered the apartment and has not been seen since. Her remains have also not been found.

Wilson then allegedly came out of the apartment alone, got into Young’s vehicle and drove the boy to a fast-food restaurant. There, Wilson dropped off the boy and left.

On Monday, November 12, 2018, Young was reported missing by family members.

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the death of a woman last seen at 8950 Glencrest #4157 about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 10).

The suspect, Johnny Leon Wilson (b/m, 48), is charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court. A photo of wanted suspect Wilson is attached to this news release.

The remains of the victim, Charine Wilson, 29, have not been located. She is the estranged wife of suspect Wilson.

Chilling new details revealed in missing woman investigation
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) --

Inside the suspect's apartment, investigators say they found cleaning supplies, a bucket and mop, and evidence of blood stains.

They also have surveillance video of Wilson removing a large object that appeared to look like a body from his apartment and putting it in the trunk of a car.

Husband on run after missing woman's body found shot, decomposing on Navarro County road

A woman’s decomposing body was found on Dec. 12 on a road near Richland, the Navarro County Sheriff’s Office said on its Facebook page.

According to investigators, the body is that of 29-year-old Charine Marie Wilson who was reported missing from Houston. Detectives said she was shot multiple times before her body was found clothed, “badly decomposed,” and covered by vegetation along SE 1190A.

Estranged husband wanted in murder of Houston mother

After nearly seven weeks of unanswered questions about her missing daughter, Susan Young received the news that no parent wants to hear.

"A detective called me (Wednesday morning) and told me, 'Mrs. Young, we found your daughter.' And I said, 'please tell me you found her alive,' and he said 'No m'am, she's dead.'"

"How could he do that? I knew he was strange, but we never suspected he would kill her," said Sharalen, Charine's sister. Susan said she believes Wilson took her daughter's life, because she left him after less than a year of marriage.

On top of the family's grief, they are concerns for Charine's 11-year-old son.

"I sat him down yesterday and held him, and he knew what I was going to tell him," Sharalen said. "He didn't cry. He just went in his room and I could hear him hitting the wall," she said.

Houston fugitive arrested after estranged wife's body found


LAS VEGAS, Nevada (KTRK) --
The estranged husband of a Houston woman, who went missing for a month before her body was found in a ditch, has been arrested.

On Wednesday (1/30/19), 48-year-old Johnny Leon Wilson was arrested by a fugitive task force in Las Vegas. He was staying at a hotel under an alias at the time of his arrest.

No luck. I found other defendants with last name WILSON, but no JOHNNY.
Also, no last name WILSON with a NOV 2018 criminal charge date.
I didn't find a link to select a specific district court.
