HONDO, Texas - Authorities are looking for a woman who's been missing for nearly a week after running out of gas in San Antonio.

Hondo Police Department said Chaundra Walker was last seen by her family on March 6. Her last contact was on Monday when she contacted a friend after she ran out of gas somewhere in San Antonio. The friend told police that while they were on the phone with Chaundra a man approached her and the phone connection was lost.

From the last media link above;
"The vehicle pictured is a likeness to her vehicle."
Why no statement as to the exact make, model,
year & color of her vehicle, Hondo Police Dept?
Chaundra's FB page. (no posts in about a year and she has several previous FB pages that are inactive). Log into Facebook Cross posts in FB don't have any information that wasn't in the MSM article so nothing much to report. I hope she is safe.

Is her car missing as well??
There are no reports MSM or otherwise that her car was located which is odd if it ran out of gas. If it was abandoned I'd think someone would have reported it unless it was in a parking lot where there are a lot of vehicles.

Sadly she was found deceased. It looks like she was hit by a car. I wonder how this is related to running out of gas. From the timing, I am guessing maybe the police dept knew/suspected it was Chaundra but needed to notify the family first.

UPDATE: We were notified today by the San Antonio Police Department that they had responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian this week in their city. Unfortunately, Chaundra Walker was the person involved and is deceased. Family has now been notified. We offer our most sincere condolences to Ms. Walker’s family and all of those who knew her. May they find peace in the days coming.

ETA - I'll report my own post so that the caption can be changed.
