New clues in grisly Lover's Lane Murders

"Atkinson also recalls what police investigators told him: They surmised that Andy let them tie him to a tree and that they know that the girl was killed first which means he was tied to a tree and listened to her scream, listened to her being murdered knowing that they were going to do the same thing to him and he couldn t do anything about it. That s hard to accept".

Floyd William Parrott, 64, was charged with capital murder in connection with the killings of Cheryl Henry, 22, and Andy Atkinson, 21, the Harris County District Attorney's Office said in a news release. He was arrested on Wednesday in Lincoln, Nebraska, and is awaiting extradition to the Harris County jail in Texas.

After a suspect's arrest in the nearly 36-year-old murder case of Cheryl Henry and Andy Atkinson, officials said they are looking for people whom Floyd Parrott may have falsely pulled over before and after the 1990 murders.

During a Friday morning press conference held by the Houston Police Department, the FBI, and the Harris County District Attorney's Office, investigators said they believe there may be more victims out there.

Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare said more than 100 persons of interest were examined over time as multiple detectives worked on the case through the years. He added, however, that Parrott was not one of the hundreds of people interviewed.
