Found Deceased TX - Chrissy Powell, 39, San Antonio, Paralegal, didn’t arrive @work, BOLO, 5 July 2022

I wonder if when her workplace called her, it woke her up? She was then frantic to get to work on time realizing how late she was and therefore forgot her watch and her phone at home. IMO the Ring video doesn't look wobbly - it looks like she is in a huge rush to get going and sort of sidesteps the door closing so it doesn't hit her.

EXCLUSIVE DETAILS – The father of one of missing Texas mom Christina Powell’s children is "absolutely cooperating" with investigators and is "clearly" not a person of interest, despite her family’s reports that the pair had an argument just days before she disappeared, authorities told Fox News Digital on Thursday.

Christina "Chrissy" Lee Powell, the 39-year-old mother of two boys who vanished after she was seen leaving her San Antonio home while running late for work on July 5, had an argument on the Sunday before she disappeared. But a spokesperson for the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) told Fox News Digital on Thursday the man is "absolutely cooperating" and "is clearly not a person of interest."

Asked if police had identified any suspects or persons of interest, the spokesperson noted: "We don't have any crime at this time."

In a statement emailed to Fox News Digital on Thursday, SAPD Public Information Office said officers from the department's Missing Persons Unit "continue to follow up on any information related to Christina Powell’s disappearance."

Just realized the purple ribbon she has displayed on her profile picture indicates she is a survivor of domestic violence. Red flag there. I hope she just took off to clear her head and will be back to her precious boys and her mama, soon.
Facebook allows you to set up those banners temporarily with an end date. It's entirely possible she had it set up for something like "1 month" and it just auto-removed it for her, not her (or someone with access to her account) doing it.

In the business world, especially a professional office - 8:30 is late, after 9 there better be a good excuse. 22 years in the legal and accounting world tells me that. If I have an employee later than 9 and I haven't heard anything I'm calling. If she or he says they are running late when I call, I expect to hear why and see them promptly. Just the way we operate. Monday through Thursday we are 8-5, Fridays are different but still start at 8 or as close to it as possible.
I work in a smaller law office in another state but my hours are 9-5 with a half hour break for lunch. Without knowing what her agreed hours are we can't really tell just how late she running.

Lauren Leal said it was uncharacteristic of her lifelong friend to not show up for work.

“We’re in our late 30s, we have a very strong work ethic,” Powell said. “We’ve always, you know, if you say you’re gonna be at work, you’re gonna be at work, and I think that’s why she woke up and was like, panic mode.”

Attorney Robert Wilson, Powell’s employer, said she informed the office she had overslept that day and was on her way in. But when she didn’t show up, the office manager went to Powell’s home to investigate.

“Employees are hard to find right now. And, you know, they’re not all perfect or do a wonderful job. And one employee that … stood out to us was Chrissy because she was so low key and there wasn’t any drama,” Wilson said.

Powell had also phoned the law firm where she worked as a paralegal to tell them she would be late.

When she never arrived, a coworker went to her house and knocked on the door.

Powell’s 12-year-old son answered door, but he believed his mother had been at work.

"My grandson answered the door, and the lady said, ‘Is your mom here?’" she said. "He said, ‘No, she's at work’ … He went and checked, and of course, she wasn't here."

My thoughts are with Chrissy's son. He is old enough to know what is happening, to worry, etc. I hope she is found safe, for his sake.

I agree, if the workplace called her and woke her up, she would be frantic and in a hurry to get ready and get there. Makes sense that she might forget her watch and phone.

I am wondering, though, why her mother (who she lived with) didn't wake her up that morning. The mother must have slept in, also?

Maybe she assumed that her daughter had already left for the day (and they don't always eat breakfast, etc together) since it was quiet in the house?

'Just jumping off your post. IIRC Chrissy was working part-time - but someone please double check me on this as I could be wrong. If true, then mom may not have been aware of which days she was working, and it's possible mom thought this was Chrissy's off-day thus no concern for her sleeping-in... particularly if Chrissy was normally dependable as has been reported.

IIRC, I read that she was hired for the position on a temporary basis (and maybe part time?) but then the law firm was so pleased with her work ethic, etc. that they offered her the job as permanent, and that Chrissy accepted it.

Missing Texas mom Christina Powell: What we know about the San Antonio paralegal missing over a week

Powell worked as a paralegal at a San Antonio law firm, Sanchez and Wilson, where she had begun as a temporary employee on June 27, said managing partner Mark Sanchez. The firm was so satisfied with Powell’s performance that managers offered her a full-time position just days later, he said.

"We were impressed with her punctuality and hard work, and extended her a full-time offer of employment, actually, on Friday, July 1 — the weekend before she disappeared," Sanchez said Thursday when reached by phone. "She was elated and accepted a job offer on the spot."

You're likely correct. I don't remember where I heard or read the part-time info as I was hoping to find a link.

You may be right, the MSM article doesn't really specify if she was hired temporarily as part-time or full time.

I was thinking to myself it's crazy they haven't located her vehicle yet and then I remembered how long it took for authorities to discover Kaitlin Armstrong had sold her vehicle (and that was a manhunt for a murderer!).

Anyway, I looked up her license plate to get her VIN on this site Free Car License Plate Lookup | Detailed Vehicle Title Report and then I searched her VIN in Google which led me to the Carvana listing for her car. I got excited for a second thinking maybe she recently sold it to them but no, this is from before/when she bought it. 2020 Nissan Rogue - Carvana

Just started following here but from all I've read in MSM, it really does sound like she left intentionally.
In one of the articles linked previously on the thread, her mom was able to check her banking activity since she left her phone at home, and since she hasn't spent a dime out of that account since before the 5th, it's not really looking very good.
I'd love to be wrong, love to find out she had another account she was using, and she's fine and will be home real soon.

All of the articles I've read indicate that she called her workplace.
