I think it's kind of early for life to go on for them. JMO. Also I think your child would want to to continue your fight and search & push for the truth. I think it shows great strength that her mother IS getting out of bed everyday, she is continuing her life by looming for answers to where her child is. Maybe her child is her life & this is her way of life going on. JMO though.

Yep too soon for the immediate family to move on.

Of course they don't. The Mall is a business and things have returned to normal. Still, ladies, be careful no matter what parking garage you're in especially late at night.

In California one time, broad daylight, there was an elevator in the garage that took you to the floor of the office you intended to go. It was a medical building. As I waited, a man came and stood beside me. We waited. I got this creepy feeling - don't know why - so, I announced I forgot something and walked away. It felt so awkward doing so but I didn't want to ride the elevator with this guy. The energy felt funny. It was weird because I've taken elevators with strange men before and was fine.

Now, if he had disabled me from behind and dragged me to his car, he probably could have. There was no one else around and it was mid afternoon.

That is really scary! I have had the same experience with a man as well. I was walking to my car from work at night. My car was parked way at the other end of a strip mall. The parking lot was full when I came in so I was forced to park quite a distance away. As I was walking I noticed a man come out of Applebee's. I didn't think much of it. Kept walking. All of the sudden I heard foot steps and felt this mans breath on my neck. He was way too close! He just kept asking if I would give him a ride and just wouldn't leave me alone. He would stand in front of my car door so I couldn't get in. Thankfully someone else came out of Applebee's and he took off. That was so scary! I feel in my gut as well that he was about to do something to me. I really believe in trusting your instincts. Thanks for sharing that with us and I am glad you are okay and didn't get in the elevator with him!!

MOO

Why would they report having leads? Would seem counter productive to the prosecution
When leads dry up, tips stop coming in, and the detectives have run out of viable avenues of investigation...a case is termed as cold until they get the call a body has been found or some other evidence has surfaced. This case is headed in that direction, imo. I am actually surprised there are still 2 full time detectives working it after 2 months.

How would reporting they have no leads be counter productive to the prosecution? I don't follow that reasoning.

he has had about two months to figure out what he is saying. I think is somewhat distasteful to do it on the same night as the vigil. Very sarah palin type move

[modsnip] Really though it isn't fair to go after him like people are doing when we know nothing about him. (You may but we don't and can't.)
The bf had more motive and actions are more hinky imo.

Maybe there's someone who would love if EA is blamed, whether if guilty or not. I, for one, just don't know the answers.

Parents/families may carry on in order support themselves and raise other children, but I doubt very much life ever resumes any semblance of normality until they know what happened. Even then, if the missing person is found deceased, there is no "normal". My parents barely outlived the deaths of my sister and brother, it was just too hard on them, and they had both died of illnesses, i.e not violence or some kind of accident. Jmo

I think had he came out and spoke to the family when they tried to speak with him weeks ago, his name would still be an unkown and we wouldn't have the slightest clue as to who he is.
Oh I would have to say it is not the way I would see that scenario ending up at all. If he had come out to speak with the family early on...he would still find himself at the end of their poking stick and feel the sharp point as they jabbed him to explain this or that from what he did say anyway. They have it in for this fella and there simply is no denying it (no matter how much they continue to deny it) IMO!

Why would they report new leads if it doesn't directly lead to an arrest, but just builds the case? That's what I am getting at.

hf hasn't had a picket in front of his house to my knowledge.
He has done exactly the opposite of ea from the beginning.

Maybe he's going to point his finger at you! Kidding, of course. Really though it isn't fair to go after him like people are doing when we know nothing about him. (You may but we don't and can't.)

Such As?

HF has helped with some searches, passed out flyers, done everything the family has asked of him etc.

And what exactly has EA done? not a damn thing except go hide behind a lawyer.

EA should be the main person looked at in my opinion. JMo

OT/ Wow. Dallas PD needs to explain what their Missing Person Detectives did to miss this! Glad Plano Police Department are in charge of Christina's case!

24-Year-Old Woman Found Dead In Bathtub

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A 24-year-old woman missing since Saturday was found dead in her home.

A neighbor found Ruby Mendoza in her bathtub.

As if that wasn't bad enough...the neighbor found her due to a broken window and sound of running water. WHAT?! 6 days later??

That's creepy! I just watched a serial killer show where all the women were found with water running. :gasp: Thanks for posting!

I believe the family should know a lot better than us (gotta have a reason to picket??); if they support one and not the other, that's their prerogative. I can't seem to get the stories straight except the guy who walked her (supposedly) to her car was the last one to see her. That doesn't sit well with me. Not what I was thinking at first but unless someone was waiting for her at her car, what could the explanation be? I keep going back to someone who was flirting or trying to get her attention in one of the places, but she ignored him because she was texting boyfriend. Rejection has been the reason many times. I'm out on a limb here, have tried to keep up but don't know the area. I'm praying, though, and my heart goes out to the family to find this little sweet girl.

Really? Where was he when Christina asked him via text to unlock the door? That she couldn't find her house key?
When he woke up on Saturday and turned his phone on, why didn't he freak out to see she wasn't there? That she hadn't returned? Or, did she?
There isn't a reasonable explanation for this imo unless she made it back to her house some how.
