A good job at what?
He is not interviewing for a role in a movie. Not for a job. Not for senate. IMO

Coming off sincere. Acting like he cares about what happened to her. The comment of (paraphrasing) she wasn't a friend of mine so I didn't feel like I needed to walk her to her car was pretty crappy. IMO

Jazz to your post about HF and his father going up to OK...I don't think it was on a whim or they wanted to get away or take a long drive together. I think someone gave them direction to head up that way for reasons unknown. MOO

I would agree imo as well

I find it way toooooooooooo convient that she was preoccupied with the thought of her boyfriend all that night; But this same live-in boyfriend didn't bother to frantically wonder where she was for 4 days. 4 days? Give me a break.

He's damned either way. IMO.
If he hides and doesn't talk = he's a coward and is probably hiding something.
If he talks and gives interview = he's a liar and probably hiding something.
If he talks and is nervous = he's nervous and probably hiding something.
If he talks and is not nervous = he is too confident and appears coached.

All MOO

Respectfully disagree. There was a way to handle the situation he was in. If he truly played no part or has no knowledge of her disappearance what would it have hurt to have some point reached out to her family? What would it have hurt to help with some of the searches or show up to a vigil? I get it that she wasn't a friend of his but he was the last person to see her and even though he didn't choose to be put in that situation he was, yes it sucks but why not try to be part of the solution instead of continuing to cause distractions? There is a girl missing. This isn't some game anyone is playing. MOO IMO

I don't think I would either honestly. Think about it....as soon as they released the video he was going to be target #1 for some folks regardless of what he does or doesn't do. That's just the way things shake out in these situations. If they really weren't friends and suddenly he starts showing up at all the events, there is a camp out there that would call him suspicious (i.e. Scott Peterson) and use that against him. Plus lets assume the same people that think he's target #1 (strictly hypothetical here) are also part of the vigils, searches, etc., anything, and I do mean anything he says or does during said events would be scrutinized, studied and judged.

JMO, MOO and all that.

I think her father said the same thing He was NOT a friend of hers!

Nope. I wouldn't either. He has been named a witness in an ongoing investigation into a missing person case. He is innocent.

He could have done it privately. Like HF is apparently doing. Yes maybe he'd still be a suspect but he wouldn't be as public as he's become and certainly his name wouldn't be out there as much as it is. You don't hear boo about HF in any news reports anymore. IMO MOO

Just because he was not a friend of her doesn't mean he shouldn't have walked her to her car. Also by caring, that could mean caring she is missing! Jmo.

I don't mean this snarky at all (I know it's hard to tell in writing)...what do you think would have been an appropriate demeanor for someone in his situation (not necessarily EA).

Good question. I have been in situations where I had to testify (granted nothing of this magnitude but serious nonetheless) and I always believed in the strength that the truth gives someone. It allows a person to look straight ahead, be clear & concise.....and it allows them to do the right thing which may include participating in searches, vigils, polygraphs, etc.

Many people can either consciously or subconsciously "know" when someone is telling the truth.....it's a gut reaction (of course barring all psychopaths). It's in their words, it's in their demeanor, it's in their eyes, intonation, quirks, ticks, etc

Moo

So that means he has no need to make sure she gets to her car safely? Gosh I have total strangers who would do that for me and I would certainly expect someone I knew would have that common courtesy. MOO

I would be scared spitless of a stranger that would be wanting to walk me to my car, I'd immediately see this person as a possible abductor and bad guy. My hinky meter would be sounding the alarm quite loudly.

Perhaps. I guess if it were me, if I didn't know the family of the person that went missing from Adam, it's hard to know what would happen if I decided to talk to them or how they would interpret/utilize the information provided. Suppose he told them something (again, totally hypothetical) about the evening that implicated CM in something? Suppose something said cast CM in a bad light (and no...I am NOT saying I believe that in any way shape or form)? How would that information be used by those that heard it?

Again, purely hypothetical and stated purely for the point of discussion. I would have the same argument in any case where there were similar circumstances.

Ok. The point is, they were not total strangers. He should have walked her to her car, he doesn't seem like it's bothering him a whole lot that she is missing. Jmo.

Not meant in that capacity. Point being most people tend to look out for each other.
