I'm on the fence still, but if he truly has no knowledge at all about what happened... Maybe he is just way too freaked out to say anything to anyone. I know I would be, if I were the last person to see someone before their disappearance. Maybe he's a little socially awkward in some way. (I say this because I can see my son completely shutting down were he to find him self in this position, but totally innocent.) But as far as my son goes, his first instinct would be to tell authorities anything and everything, and hand over anything they asked for. But as far as anyone else outside of immediate family and LE, he wouldn't make a peep. He's always been kind of a loner kid, which he inherited from me. Pretty quiet unless we have picked up a new topic or something to research. Then he will tell you more than you ever wanted to know about any given subject! Lol I embrace my geeky family! :)

Now, I haven't looked into what EA's personality seems to convey, so that entire thing could be way off base for this case.

Really, I'm just tinkering along, trying to come up with something that helps! :)

Bouncing off your post - my son who has never been in trouble with LE would be crucified on boards such as this. He comes across very emotionless to the world; almost cold. However, those of us who know him (family and friends) know who he is as a person and what a caring individual he is. JMO (of course its my opinion because I'm talking about my son LOL) :)

The above article is dated September 2011. Someone dug it up during another case and its been posted during this case too.

"... it can be as little as a few days or up to seven years, depending on your provider."

"AT&T, for example, retains information about who you are texting for five to seven years. T-Mobile keeps the same data for five years, Sprint keeps it for 18 months, and Verizon retains it for one year."

This info goes back three years though so, who knows? There is detailed info in the article.

What carrier was Christina's plan under? I hope LE moved quickly to obtain a copy of her records.

Thanks! This is what I thought I remembered from the Hannah Graham case near us. LE can get a log of who a person was texting, but Verizon actually keeps the content (what was actually said in the text message) for only 3-5 days. If Christina had Verizon LE would have had very little time to get the texts. Interesting that Virgin Mobile keeps it for 90 days as well. I didn't know that. But I don't know anyone with a Virgin Mobile plan.

The bf spoke oddly too though. He wanted nothing more than for Christina to come home and be alive - a comment close to that. So he, in his mind, had her deceased already too.

I don't see that at all. If my husband was missing, I would want him home & alive. I think that just shows he was upset and frazzled. Jmo.

Okay thanks that was the article with some bad info in it...jmo

Yes. That is true. It's more of a blog, actually. So I'm not even sure if we call it fact on here. Although if seems that if JM says it, we consider it fact? That seems to be how we interpret things but maybe that us just with recent events.

May I respectfully suggest that your son may or may not react as you would assume. He is his own individual and as parents we often project & conjure up what their responses might be. And we can be wrong. Sometimes they surprise us & that's all good.

BBM: And I'm sure that ever since then he has wished with all his heart that he had. This is probably one of his biggest regrets. IMO, JMO.

If it was one of his biggest regrets, I would think he would have mentioned that in the interview. Jmo.

Well it certainly wasn't to offend. I was merely stating how I felt when I read your post. I am not complaining either, it's JMO like everyone else on here has an opinion.

Honestly, I can't relate why you responded to my post with this post.
The grief families of crime victims go through has nothing to do with the post, my post, you responded to.
When the perpetrator, the one who deserves to be arrested because evidence points directly in their direction, is arrested and goes to trial, the family will still be grieving. Identifying the bad guy and the toll a crime against someone takes on their family, are two different subjects. One has nothing to do with the other.

If I could use magic powers and pinpoint Christina's location and/or name the person at the root of her disappearance, I would do so in a heartbeat. Most suspects aren't going to do that so, until LE gathers concrete evidence, they're not going to solve what happened to Christina. Complaining EA is heartless isn't going to result in finding answers.

Just so you know, I pray for the victims of all the cases I follow. My prayer is for truth and light to reveal what is hidden so their families will have answers and a chance to move on from the pain of not knowing but never forget their loved one.

Sleuthing and work related to easing suffering aren't always compatible.

Did i?
How so?
Lol maybe I need more.coffee.

do you mean the part where there would be no record of calls because it was off?l
I'd bet my last dollar there are at least 10 voice mail messages.

he still should have been concerned when she never came home.

Yes, I wonder about voice mail, too. I'm not trying to justify HF actions, or lack of them, but I know my son and daughter never use voice mail.......they text.
I don't know what to think about the 4 no contact days. Her mother has apparently said it was not unusual for them to take days apart if they were fighting.

They spent days apart?
Where did they go during these times?

I know mom said he ignored her but ignoring a person is alot different than up and leaving for a few days.
does.not sound like a good relationship if u ask me.

He did say in the interview that he hadn't walked her all the way to her car but he wished he had.

In my opinion, it seems like the expectations were kept pretty low as far as what he did as a boyfriend. The old "boys will be boys" I guess. Some people allow that kind of treatment to go on. Personally that wouldn't fly with me or my parents.

If she left before, did she take her dog, clothing, what?

  • #493
I would just like to say I'm glad that people are responding to one another with respect.

  • #494
I wonder if one of those 3 cars were EA's?

In my opinion when JM stated they have been away from each other before I believe she was referring to her coming to visit in OK. I didn't get anything about her leaving HF. Jmo.

OT. I have been very curious about this for a long time: has a crime ever been solved based on information initiated or shared on WS?
I do believe the outside world (especially LE and defense staff) checks in on these threads regularly.
Does anyone (Mods) know?

  • #497
Well, Here are my answers:

1. eitherHe took her and did something to her or
2. He saw somebody take her and either force her in a vehicle or she got into a vehicle with somebody.

JMO

I think she willingly got into his new camero with him for a ride to Ft Worth and EA had other plans.

Good question, I have wondered that as well.

Yes that's so true! The joys of parenthood -- lol.
Which is why no one can answer to what a person would do other than that person themselves. And even then, not until they are actually faced with a situation. This is exactly why no one can say for certain that someone would never disappear on their own, would never leave without telling their lived ones, would not drink, would not leave with a stranger, or any of a multitude of possibilities we've discussed.

That doesn't sound very nice to say about Christina. We don't have any idea of what she "allowed". These are two young individuals, maybe they were both independent?

Many good ppl stay in bad relationships.
Many or most do not end well.
