Yes, I wonder about voice mail, too. I'm not trying to justify HF actions, or lack of them, but I know my son and daughter never use voice mail.......they text.
I don't know what to think about the 4 no contact days. Her mother has apparently said it was not unusual for them to take days apart if they were fighting.

I doubt they use voicemail. I'm in my late 30's, and my friends/family don't use VM. If no one answers, we go straight to text.

A dead phone .....
I'm sure there was no house phone.

I dont think many young ppl or older come to think of it let their phone die.
Power cords for car for home.
While sleeping it's plugged in...

For me this is a Huge red flag.
I agree. Teen/20 yo with cell phone = Teen/20 yo with charger for cell in case their lifeline becomes interrupted for 2 seconds omg that cannot happen because Teen/20 yo may miss something

I agree. I watched one EA interview and he came across as concerned and scared. Also, young people (well, many people of any age) are not used to being interviewed by reporters and being on camera - especially regarding something so grave as a missing person. I know there's the adage that if there is no wrong-doing then there is nothing to be afraid of, but that is not always true.

I agree with you there. I've been stopped by a cop for something I'm not aware of (like tail light out) and I immediately start sweating and getting nervous even though in my mind I've done nothing wrong. I'm petrified I will come across as disrespectful or something even though I'm just sitting there answering questions.

I disagree. If she was using her phone the entire night, I doubt she was charging it at the same time. I'm sure are a lot of people that are very diligent in charging their phones & those who are not. My phone is almost dead and it's only 11:45.

I'm talking about him! Her BF.
I think her phone possibly died or was destroyed. Smashed

I don't know if this was answered earlier, but yes, members here have been very helpful in some cases. LE does often look at cases on our site. We don't know which ones or when they are here, most of the time. It's my personal opinion that LE reviews threads when tips and leads slow down. It is time consuming and most LE doesn't have time to read all the posts, especially when a case is very active. Generally they are out, in the field, interviewing, searching, etc. and fielding phone calls. But we do know they visit the site.

Salem

Thanks Salem. It's a lot of threads to read thru for us newcomers. But I have to say WSers are for the most part pretty amazing. I wouldn't have known anything about AE if it wasn't for this site. Good stuff on here early on with the Skylar Neese case. And I might add that I appreciate the mods, too. Wish you guys were a little more flexible at times, understand why you're not, but as far as forums go this is about the best run one I've seen.

They have battery packs to take with you when you do not have access to a stationary plug in for charging. I don't know if she had one of those, but I am guessing since she was planning on spending the night she had her charger with her in her backpack/purse or was going to use her friends' chargers.

BBM - Guess that applies to HF too. I don't take too much away from interviews. For all the reasons you've all stated. Just think you should apply the same philosophy to everyone else.

Yes but for me hunter was overly
dramatic. The hands clasped with them shaking.
it just was.over the top for me.
I just don't get a good.vibe with him like u feel it with EA.

hopefully we will find the truth.

I never said anything about Hunters Interview.ever.

as for my philosophy I see nothing wrong with it.

My apology. Didn't mean YOU per se. Just in general. But I appreciate your opinions as I know/hope you do others as well.

Thanks for the information, Salem. I would think this site is a goldmine for PIs, LE and defense lawyers because of the sheer amount of ideas tossed around here. Plus, many sleuths put in hours and hours of tedious work formulating timelines, etc. It is a wonderful site and well managed. It's a relief to share a respectful exchange of theories, not of the SM or MSM-comments ilk.

It's ok no worries.
I appreciate your opinions also.
Our opinions will keep this thread active.

I realize this. Point is her family has verified that she is not good with keeping her phone charged. So it very well could have died.

Do you have a link for this please? It seems I have missed it.

Thanks,

Salem

Her brother stated that she has "gone off the radar before" but this time was different because usually she would get in contact with his mom sooner than this.

Yeah. I am the proud parent of several of these twenty somethings. LOL.
They do not function without their cell phones. Most nights, I will get a text around 3 AM ("phone is dying, be home soon") and the second they walk in the house, they plug their phones in to charge.
Their phones are their lifelines.
Wow...4 boys I assume based on your name? That must be quite interesting..do they stay out of trouble?

I remember this right from the start, it may have even been on thread 1.

I'm sure someone will be able to link quicker than me but it's definitely something we've been allowed to discuss.
