One sluether reminded us in an earlier post that Ea "hired" PJ. The above statement was put out there to discredit what I said

I'm fairly certain he hired PJ, maybe reduced amount but PJ is already "assigned" to four pro bonos I believe. I'll see if my former tenant whose a law teacher at a prominent school that win awards all over the US for their mock trials, might be able to provide insight. He's really connected to a lot of the lawyers, maybe he even knows PJ. But I believe most of their mock trials are civil not criminal. Can't hurt to ask.

In regards to use of dogs, I couldn't find any information of it not being helpful and couldn't find any claims or articles where searches with dogs can't be used in court so maybe PPD will call upon a SAR K-9 unit. Looks like one article says a scent can last for a long time so hopefully her scent is still prominent in her car.

Sarx and Margarita are great resources when it comes to dog info. Sarx by profession, of course, and Margarita by case-knowledge volume. She made lots of great observations and contributions during Dylan Redwine's case.

Boots also posted a great article back in October.

I don't recall dogs being brought in and if I remember someone in law enforcement on here, maybe Agent said some things dogs find are not or can't be used as evidence in a case maybe. I would have to go back and find that post or look up why they haven't. But I thought same thing early on a scent from her car while it was still fresh from her being in it four days prior or so but now the scent may not be as strong. I would think it can't hurt. Seems to me I've seen other scenarios and cases use them. So why not or why haven't they yet seems like a great question. Wish I knew the answer.

I like to entertain alternate theories as well, but I also like to ask questions that enable us to dig deeper into the alternate theories. We have to be able to make sense of them, right? How can we make sense of them without questioning them? I have been known to annoy those around me by asking too many questions, so I promise I am not just harassing my dissenting, fellow (and respected) websleuthers :) lol

Ok, so on the car damage...I do believe the damage to the car is related to CMs disappearance somehow. Someone just posted that perhaps the car was damaged when someone else ran him off the road...so if that happened, why wouldn't he be able to tell the truth about it? Why would he have to lie? Why would he need to cover up the fact that someone else ran him off the road? Sincerely interested in your explanations!

Those are valid questions. Why has he lied about how his car got damaged? The answer seems pretty clear that if he felt the need to lie what was he covering up?

It's possible he went through the legal assistance program to obtain him and that he has a reduced cost. However since he's not really currently arrested for a crime, the courts can assign a lawyer pro bono, doesn't mean PJ didn't reach out to him either. Although, it appears PJ has two fairly large cases he has been assigned too.

Per my resources (law friend) states he highly doubts a lawyer would take on another pro bono IF they are in the middle of a high profile case already pro bono. That's a lot of non billed free time and it's possible it was negotiated at a reduced rate but more than likely based on the face PJ already has a pro bono that's high profile the thoughts are EA or family searched out or contacted and obtained the services and not the other way around. If he were to get arrested, then the courts would definitely have to assign an attorney IF he didn't already have one.

Yes it is a two story house.

Not sure about where he was sleeping

May not be important but do they live in a 2 story house? Do we know if he only woke the brother up? Was brother maybe asleep on the couch (maybe watching SNL, crashed) so he couldn't help but wake him up? What he said to his brother is MUY importante! Even if it was just boo-hooing about his car, he said something that I hope the brother told LE honestly.

JMO I don't think he was.

I wish I had the answer to that question. It seems to me he has lied so much that soon he's not going to remember them. So glad they subpoena'd all of the news interview footage. Great move PPD!

IMO we are SO CLOSE! I think he must feel the walls caving in around him. You would have to. Go PPD! Let's #Findchristina!

Those are valid questions. Why has he lied about how his car got damaged? The answer seems pretty clear that if he felt the need to lie what was he covering up?

It was a Twitter post from plano pd I screenshotted saying they wouldn't be able to use them.

My thoughts exactly people get in minor accidents all the time, so why did he need to lie about it? Well we know because so far anything involving Christina missing he's lied about and then some. Didn't know her that well, didn't offer to walk her to her car, he was just walking to his, he didn't talk to her while walking, he didn't call HF after she went missing, he didn't park in the same garage, he didn't talk to her at apartment that much or the entire night per say (wonder if those present saw that scenario different). Those are things him and LE have casted some flaws on.

Can't wait for them to prove she was in his car, which he said she wasn't. Can't wait for them to possibly be able to pull phone records and show who some of his last calls were too, and see that he did call others after stating he didn't.

Can't wait for them to find evidence of what he hit with the car, and prove it was not his fist that caused that damage and when that comes back we'll definitely know his bodily injuries didn't come from changing a tire (which has already been speculated by body shop that he couldn't have damaged the car in that manner).

We have got to find that evidence. I wasn't able to search today due to sick hubby, but it's killing me not being able to participate and find these answers.

I know many are not in a position to help locally, those helping where you can and posting good ideas, theories, and productive possibilities with good clarification are very helpful to the case.

We have to find the missing pieces to this puzzle and when your putting a puzzle together that's almost finished, you don't get out a different box/puzzle and try to fit those pieces into the current puzzle. It's more simple than that.

If we get to the very end and we are missing that one piece it makes it even more frustrating and then we are left with no option but to start a new puzzle, and pray those pieces all fit.

I remember that. But IMO doesn't mean they won't soon? Lots of good K9 teams local and out of state. Oh I hope they come and help us search. That would be awesome!

Do you happen to recall how far back? Was that in beginning? hopeful and by now maybe it's possible if in fields because I can understand in the garage if she left in such said vehicle her only scent they could track would be in her car.

No I wouldn't say that either. I think that if they were trying to use the dogs in a huge shopping area days after someone went missing too many days had passed in an area with lots of people to use them. If they are looking for a human in an area with mostly trees and brush I'm sure dogs could be a huge benefit.
