I don't know enough about the American legal system to be sure but how likely is it that with all the modern methods of DNA testing, phone tracking etc someone would be wrongly convicted of a crime like this. Is the risk great enough to hire a very expensive lawyer before LE have even indicated that a crime has been committed.

Genuine question I would never do this for my son but want to gauge what would be reasonable for an American parent.
As much as I believe that the odds that EA is being honest are remote (like lottery ticket remote) IMO, I really don't see him hiring an attorney is a red flag. And yes, many people have been released from death row through 'later to be learned facts'. All it takes is abundant 'circumstantial' evidence, overly helpful but erroneous witnesses or sometimes an overly ambitious cop creating or suppressing evidence.

I actually would not. If my son was arrested for stealing and didn't tell me and was caught up in this lying mess he would be on his own to figure it out. That's just me. Both of my parents were in LE and I remember asking for an FOP badge for my license plate like my parents had. Needless to say I never got it. I've never even had a speeding ticket in my life and never been in any sort of trouble. I most certainly would never steal from my employer, get arrested, and not tell my parents. They would have disowned me.

I don't think it's bad for him to have an attorney. I just think it just adds more of a sense that he's guilty. IMO. As just a person on the outside looking in all of these lies and his actions point me to that. Not just that he has retained an attorney and the type of attorney he retained. JMO

Why In heavens name do you all find it so wrong that he has a lawyer?
If this were your son you would do the same.

With all do respect to most.. I'm done here. I guess without much news in the case, this has turned into a bickering match, that I don't need. Best of luck sleuths & take care of yourselves... JMOM & Carlton.. thanks for all you do!

Zippixx, your dedication along with others, to helping bring justice and Christina home cant be thanked enough, please sit tight. I fully understand your frustration.

Well it isn't just the attorney, it is lying to the police, the bitemark and bruises, cleaning his car, vacuuming at work, having his coworkers lie for him when interviewed
and to add, he didn't hire some shmuck to defend him, he hired the one attorney who takes on guilty clients to try and save them from the death penalty

[modsnip]

U need legal advice.
What to do what not to do.
Its just smart.

Im not talking about the bite the bruises

Im just saying he is the last person seen with her and she vanished HE NEEDS a LAWYER.
He was there.

Zippixx- don't go, Christina needs you. No matter how many differing opinions, theories, ideas presented; it all serves to keep this thread alive and searching for Christina. Great advice as stated before is "scroll and roll". Keep on keeping on.... :-)

Death penalty cases are normally overturned by dna evidence refuting the alleged perp... IMO Don't think ea will have that luxury.

This is the only other scenario that I can see as likely if EA didn't have anything to do with Christina's disappearance.

JMO

Respectfully the only other scenario I can see is if he's covering for someone he either cares deeply about or is scared of. I can't see any scenario where's not involved at some level. And currently for me that level is at 99% that EA and only EA is responsible. MOO.

Sometimes it does get a little slow with no new news. But it's nice to have your opinion. I sometimes just lean back and enjoy the vigor of spirited debate for entertainment value alone.

BBM - Here's the part of the warrant where he lied to LE about walking into the garage (there are so many details, I get confused by all of them) ...
During the interview, Arochi made false statements about when he parked his car and the details
surrounding the last time he was with Morris. Arochi told Afiant he walked with Morris to the parking
garage at Henry's Tavern and she entered the garage. He stated he walked around the front of Henry's
Tavern and went to a parking garage near Blue Martini where he had left his car. Arochi insisted he did not enter the parking garage with Morris.

Maybe he didn't walk into the garage with her he went to his car.
See its how u read it.

I hope that you are right and if EA is guilty that he gets a shortcut to hell.

Hang in there. Somewhere in the midst of all this are the answers. Not only the who, but probably the how and the why.

I agree with you, I think the only reasonable conclusion is that he is responsible but if by any chance he's not I'm not convinced by some of the more complicated theories involving more than one party which leaves me with the option that Christina choose to disappear which by the accounts of all who know her is a non starter.

Zipp I don't see any arguments and when we all are here discussing our different opinions Christinas thread stays alive.
Yes we have some differences here but we keep on treading thru...

My opinion is based on everything together not just be the "last person to see her alive" as he said in the uncut interview

But that's just MO

I believe EA needs a lawyer.
The whole situation was spinning out of his control with all his lies, stories and interviews that we all know, any attorney would freak out if their client was conducting interviews. Granted he created the problem.

Also, his parents reputation is also on the line with all of the picketing that was going on and drawing attention to the family. They have a business and I am sure the parents are afraid he is going to take them down as well. If my son was lying, and I had the money, I would get the best attorney money could buy.

At least you offered up a different theory of what could have happened. Despite repeated questions to others who think EA is innocent in Christina's disappearance haven't offered anything.

Of course I don't agree with your theory, just like you don't agree with mine. But thanks for putting something else out there other than "I don't think he did anything."

There is always the possibility of a fight in the car and she jumped out and he ran off and left her there in anger. But even lying about that would stall an investigation and hinder the chances of finding her.
