I swear someone on here told us he was from Honduras. And it wasn't the VIs because they've hinted Mexico.

I think it's breaking news that he's a citizen of Mexico. I thought this entire time he was a US citizen.

Question - Are immigration holds put on all non-citizens or just citizens that are charged with serious crime? I'm thinking each county/city operates differently.

I agree it doesn't in the way its been discussed in this thread previously, but it does indicate that you are not an american citizen.

Not everyone placed under detainer is “illegal.” Immigration detainers are not limited to unauthorized immigrants. Legal immigrants—including long-term legal permanent residents (LPRs, or green card holders) may also be subject to immigration detainers if ICE determines they may be deportable.

You are correct. Someone did. There were two posts. One that said he had a green card. Later it was said they are guessing he has one. Yesterday it was said Honduras and that post is now gone. I don't know why. I saw it as well. I know many people did because others were commenting on it.

I assumed he was a citizen until he was arrested. Not sure why I did, but I did. I read BF's tweet and she says "reportedly" a Mexico citizen. While she always seems to be correct, I am going to wait until that little word is removed.

My head is spinning with the immigration talk. I really don't understand any of it.

thats exactly what i was saying people on this thread have been saying he must have been illegal some how and I made the same point you did (i think it got snipped) BUT the post you quoted was not suggesting he was illegal just that he was not a citizen and I think that its accurate to say that. You can't have an immigration hold on you if you are in fact an american citizen.

This isn't going to come as a surprise to anyone, but Honduras came from EA himself, in at least one of the TV interviews, when he was describing being bullied/threatened as a result of this situation.

If his lips are moving...

Which one? That is not where I heard it. It was from a poster on here. Can you please post the link?

This is the gist of what I was contemplating earlier. I think it could happen, but I don't think it is all that common. That's what I think about the sex trafficking, too. I think those things could and may happen, but aren't nearly as common as they are theorized.
I feel this needs to be addressed. Sex trafficking is very real. It goes on all over the world every day and millions are involved. In the US, they estimate 17,500 per year are forced into sex trafficking. http://www.traffickingresourcecenter.org/states Texas ranks second only to the state of California for human trafficking. http://www.polarisproject.org/human-trafficking/sex-trafficking-in-the-us

We need to make sure we support those people who are going after such traffickers and not downplay the horrific nature of this crime against people. It does happen and it is a growing business for gangs and cartels because one person continues to bring in money.

Hfcm website just posted invite for this weekends search party. I'll be attending again and would love to meet any of you if you'll be there as well. Hopefully we'll have a good turnout.

I'll be there too. :-)

I'm assuming he has a green card. You need one for school/college, I believe. I'll have to ask my smart hubby. ;) I'm sure he's tired of me asking all these law questions. Ha.

Ok, no green card needed for public school.

I never saw any MSM that said Honduras. :dunno: If you were to take a gander through facebook (back when the people involved had them), just looking at the friends people have and where they live can give an idea of where people have ties to. Looked like Mexico to me.

Maybe it was his dad that originally came from Honduras? Don't remember where I read it.

I don't think he actually said he was from Honduras. He was quoted as saying:

""I am afraid for my life because of all the threats and people following me, telling me things like, 'Go back to Mexico or Honduras, wherever you're from.' They're even threatening my family," said Arochi."

Awesome! You are so quick-- would've taken me a month of Sundays to find that.
Thank you for the link and the quote.

I hope they got the contents of that shop vac to go along with the video of him cleaning his car. Just putting that on top of all his lies, sort of stacks the deck. And I keep thinking, what could be worse than kidnapping/murder? Somebody beat him up...I just think if it was a guy, he would be in worse shape. I feel like Christina fought back when she realized where things were headed or that he was going the wrong way, possibly. I always forget to say IMO, or MOO. :)

Do you think that is the shop vac in the bag to the right? A small one if it is.

Where did the Honduras thing come from? Was it just talk or from a VI?

I actually remember him saying that in the interview where he was talking about the threats he had received; one of the threats said "Go back to Honduras". I don't think that has anything to do with the case, tho. ? Who knows? I do think that group Accion America got involved in the beginning, and that's how they got the top notch attorney. I'm curious now if he will stay on the case, given how damning the evidence is so far.

I'm getting my hair done and waiting on processing. Lol. I have time on my hands.

I also took Sam Rayburn northbound to get here and passed through the main lanes Custer gantry. Then looked up my toll records to see if the description would match the original search warrant we saw. The warrant is not descriptive (specific) enough to match what's now on my toll tag account as "Custer Main Lane Gantry (MLG3)". To continue the main lanes, Custer exit debate. Lol
