Thanks, just saw this, too. Am so hopeful it is Christina for her Mom's sake. I'm not local, are either of these areas feasible?

Anyhing is feasible but it's probably not likely. One area is real close to the Trinity rifer which was swollen from all the rain and the oher near a lake. Both areas are pretty populated areas and i doubtt EA would have put her here. JMO It does give hope that as the floods recede maybe Christina will be found soon.

If I read that news article correctly, the bones are suspected to have been washed up in the flood waters, so really a body could have been dumped up river quite a ways, but the bones carried down to the Moore Park area during the flooding. The Trinity river really widened from a "trickle" during those rains. A body could have been left far from the banks upriver.

I hope they identify those remains soon.

Bodies were only about 20 miles from the shops. Still not identified. I don't think it's unlikely he put her in a body of water that has since flooded.

A lot of land has been flooded around here. I have seen water in places I've never seen before and I have lived here since I was 5!

Even though I am not sure if this could be her, IMO I do think that the flooding these past two months will help her be found.

I keep checking back here to see if the bodies found have been identified yet....

If we're talking about finding bones, sculls, and... It's going to be a while before they'll be identified. Maybe a week at best or month or two otherwise.

Same! Praying for her parents and family and friends. The waiting must be so difficult.

I just reread the article. I didn't notice that it's TWO separate bodies as they found skulls at each location.

Hi everyone.

The second location, 900 block of Creel Creek Circle, most likely has nothing to do with Christina.
The reason being is that a "foul odor" led police to the lower half of the body.
(cbs19.tv article - sorry forgot the link).

The remains found earlier on Thursday were found in a weeded area in Cedar Creek.
A landscaping crew came across bones from an arm as they mowed at Moore Park.
The bones found by police include a skull and torso and "may have washed ashore due to the high water".

"Moore Park is located downstream of the Dallas Floodway at Cedar Creek and Eighth Street".
(ntta.org/roadsprojects)

Sounds as if a body could be dropped or thrown from some places in the area.

I was just thinking that one poster suggested a while ago that the recent flooding might uncover some remains.

WOW

MOO

I hope this is it.

For those wondering, not saying I know all, but I know Dallas geography and terrain very well, and neither of those sites is in an area to make me seriously wonder if "Could this be CM?" due to location. I doubt the family is even considering either as a possibility.

1 The one in E Dallas isn't an area where the body would have gone via flooding. It is woodsy and blocked, relatively high land there, and no real creeks whatsoever (esp that flow from the Allen/McKinney areas to there). Also, it's highly populated, not a straight path drive to there from Allen, and a long ways from Allen/McKinney. The only way that's her would be for EA to have driven about 30-45 minutes each way INTO a very populated area, and taken her out of his vehicle in a city neighborhood. Likelihood about 1 in a million, at best.

2 The one in SW/SC Dallas is probably in or near the Trinity riverbanks, which has been flooded. But a body there isn't necessarily from a flood, as that general area is a high crime area, not far from the zoo (which was discussed previously), so the idea of bodies being found there isn't an anomaly. If it wasn't a body that washed up, I'd give it almost no chance at all. You wouldn't want to be there at night, hard area to get to, and must travel through some of the roughest areas of Dallas to get there.

If it was a body that floated downriver and washed up due to floods, if it was her, EA had to have taken her FAR west or SW of Allen/McKinney (again, prob a 30-45 min drive each way) to leave her in that floodplain, because the Trinity runs straight NW from Dallas (while Allen is N-NE). Not impossible of course, but I think it far more likely he would have gone E or N away from city and people, looking for a place, rather than into and through a metropolis with CM in tow. Of the possibilities, I consider this one an extreme longshot but one with some very minor chance since the floodplain is huge and runs a long way, even if its not anywhere close to where he was likely to have been. I'd call it one in 100,000.

Either way, her or not. Two families will finally get some closure and hopefully some peace.

Bump for Christina

Brittany Feagans tweeted on the 14th that the remains weren't Christina. I can't figure out how to link it on my Kindle Fire / Tapatalk app, though.
