Thank you for the Twitter link. I'm refreshing like mad to check on progress. I am glad to see that most of the motions are being denied. A bit confused about the Facebook one.

I wonder how long it will take to get through all 40!

Next is search warrant for vacuum cleaner - prosecutors had contents from Shop Vac from Sprint store where Arochi worked tested

Prosecutor says no DNA from #Morris was found in vacuum cleaner

But prosecution intends to offer vacuum cleaner but not its contents as evidence to show cleaning of Camaro

Defense is challenging the search warrant for the contents of the vacuum cleaner

Defense says warrant lacks phrase "incorporated herein by reference" that connects it to details in affidavit

ETA:

Judge still reviewing cases related to warrant and incorporation of affidavit and whether certain language required

Judge to do more research. Ruling on warrants on hold. Next is motion to suppress info from ct order on Arochi's bank records.

Regarding defense seeking to suppress evidence from vacuum cleaner warrant:

http://crimeblog.dallasnews.com/201...ons-in-christina-morris-kidnapping-case.html/

During the hearing, prosecutor Zeke Fortenberry revealed that investigators came up empty on a search of DNA evidence from the contents of a vacuum cleaner... . Prosecutors want to use the vacuum as evidence that the car had been cleaned before the police searched it.

But defense attorney Steven Miears pointed out a technical error in that search warrant and three others. The warrants do not include the specific phrase “incorporated herein by reference” to connect the warrants to the details spelled out in the probable cause affidavits. Rusch gave both sides homework over the lunch break: does the law require that those exact words be used to connect the warrant to the supporting affidavit or will similar language connecting the two documents suffice?

I wonder how long it will take to get through all 40!

I was wondering that. If they have done about half a dozen before lunch?! Does this get continued tomorrow and the next day until it is all done or do they have to schedule in more time.

Now I'm seeing the information it does seem to be, fingers crossed, a stall tactic. I'm wondering about the motion to move the venue though.

I think all these motions have annoyed the judge!!

Judge denies motion to suppress bank records. They will be allowed.

Now considering defense motion to do a questionnaire for potential jurors during voir dire

Judge to allow a questionnaire on pretrial publicity for potential jurors

Defense asks if change of venue part of this hearing. Judge says he is planning on taking it up this week.

Judge says content in pretrial publicity - newspaper stories, TV stories, blogs - is only part of the equation.

Judge says viewership, readership also a factor "How widespread is the audience?" he asks.

Collin County has more than 400,000 potential jurors - how many would have seen info on case?

Now on to motion to suppress toll road info - prosecution says no expectation of privacy when cameras log every vehicle

Defense says government code spells out that toll road accounts are confidential & claim that warrant is flawed

Judge says warrant requires probable cause & this affidavit doesn't have it. Motion to suppress toll records granted.

ETA:
Oops! Prosecution notes previous motion on toll records was for Christina Morris' vehicle, not Arochi's vehicle. #arochicase

That's so frustrating 😡 The DNA in his trunk should be enough probable cause!

Lolly - Valerie just corrected the tweet. The warrant was for Christina's toll records. Defense is grasping for straws if they are trying to get that suppressed. Doing their job, of course, but we know her car didn't move.

Now on warrant for data from Google related to Arochi's email, cell phone. Police believe Morris used his phone. #arochicase #findchristina

Google info led to sexually explicit images, deviant 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on account that state plans to use to show intent

But affidavit says Morris used "an" android phone, not Arochi's phone - judge says affidavit not good enough

Defense motion to suppress evidence related to Google data on sex explicit images is granted.

I don't understand what this means?

Can anyone sum up today? Did it go as expected? Is there anything that is critical that got suppressed?

I don't understand what this means?

They found some 'deviant 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬' that they wanted to use as intent. Judge said no.

I thought it went pretty well. Most of the defense's motions were denied.

His toll records and his 🤬🤬🤬🤬 collection got thrown out. There are 3 warrants that don't use a specific legal verbiage so judge is looking into that (c'mon, how is Steve gonna leave us hanging for this?) No DNA found in the vacuum from Sprint.

There are still a lot of motions to go and we are gonna learn little tidbits along the way, I guess.
