Fascinating! Three pages - be sure to read through to the second page, second column to get a complete picture of how Texas goes about substantiating claims of common law marriage after death or divorce.

One of the reasons I like WS is I learn so much here (aside from only crime related topics). If only I were able to remember half of it, I'd be a walking library!

Spouses of their"informal" mate are legally entitled to 1/2 too!! The only difference is they did not have a"civil or religious ceremony"
We are a Community Property State and as well as Common Law Marriage ... As I said there is nothing such as Common Law Divorce Court.
There is no Separation in Texas the ONLY recognized Separation is the Dried Ink on the Final Divorce Decree or Death Certificate ..which ever comes 1st

Thing Missing/runway is a minor not considered in danger enough for amber alert and missing person for adults. Prob 15 yrs ago I reported my bro missing to plano PD if I remember correctly they would watch for his plates. I was told he had to show up in person to have it removed. So when luckily he did return but didn't go tell PD as I said he ended up getting pulled over:) Not sure how it really works these days.

Thanks. Which is why the Scruggs Way and Legacy Drive location reports may apply to Christina's case.
The runaway listings obviously would not but the runaway listings make it seem like there are too many missing persons cases from Plano (teenage runaway cases are different though imo).

hello everyone! I'm totally new to this group. I am in mesquite Texas and am a prior police officer. I just wanted to join in on this thread. I have been studying this case or lack thereof since it was first reported.

Ok Swede ,

Where are you at on all this ???

What have you come up with as far as your experience on the PD side??

Maybe it was put in that way to cover all bases since they don't know? Unless separate reports were made? Which I doubt since it took so long for any report to be made...strange...

So if you call in a missing person, you tell them WHO YOU are, right? I mean you can't call in anonymously for a missing person, is that correct? So if those missing person calls were related to Christina, the PPD would have that info, and they'd report her as missing from the earliest time, wouldn't they? Or not? (And they'd know who was reporting her.) Does anyone know how this works?

My understanding is that provided their protocol Checklist's have been marked off then they should have taken the 1st report...
But what do I know .. I am Old

I know how to get this place to die down now. Throw a name out there. Then everyone goes to Google for the next couple of hours.

Yeah and all you find are assault charges and some dude that is not tied in to any of the people involved -- even the ones on the fringe who have moved out of state. No connection.
But it sure did get us to stop the conversations we were having, you are right on that one...

Good question you could call the plano PD non emergency number to ask...but my guess would be an anonymous call would just lead to further research. ..I placed my report yrs ago in person and they asked for my id...but I'm sure they would take any call seriously. Anyone can request the info thru the Freedom of Info act..i requested some on my apts yrs ago n it took a bit of time...on the other hand I remember a PI friend of mine getting turned down many times in Dallas when requesting info from ongoing investigations so I'm not sure you would have much luck...doesn't hurt to try though...

Here is a Mc Nuggett:

http://crime.about.com/od/missing/fl/Missing-Person-Christina-Morris.htm

Reported Missing Tuesday, Sept. 2

Although she was last seen around 4 a.m. Aug. 30, it took a couple of days for friends and family members to realize that she wasn't returning anyone's calls and no one had been in contact with her. Consequently, her parents did not file a missing persons report on Morris until Tuesday, September 2.

Get Real ... are you going to tell me that these frantic parents called no one in Allen 1st but got in their family truckster and drove to Scruggs Way 1st in Plano from Allen to file the devastating and traumatic police report????

COME ON!!!!!

Why do you want it to die down? It is dead enough. jmo

This WHOLE thing is confusing. I don't get why there are so many discrepancies. There is a picture of her wearing one outfit (the hat, the strapless beige top, with what looks like a flowy short sleeved cardi-type of thing over it, along with a grey chevron-ish patterned skirt.) This picture is also on a friend's fb page with the description that it was from the night she went missing. Somehow, someone claims and it was reported in msm that she was wearing black shorts that night. Also it was reported that she changed into some sort of grey tshirt.

Am I the only one who, when looking at the footage of her in the garage, really think that it looks like the same outfit as from the picture???? It looks to me like a long skirt (which is very popular now, the whole maxi, jersey knit type of skirt) with the light colored flowy cardigan thing over it. It doesn't look like a tshirt to me. It's way too long and flowy.

I just don't get it. If the guy walking with her was the last to see her, and was interviewed, he should be able to say what she was wearing during the walk to the garage. She definitely is NOT wearing black shorts, we can tell that much, right?

Here's a question for Vi who reported that she spoke to Christina face to face the evening she went missing: What was she wearing when you saw her walking from her vehicle to Henry's? What was she wearing in Henry's?? Was it the same outfit that we see in the missing posters?

I don't have time to find the post #, but I believe Vi said she noticed Christina's unusual flowy outfit but didn't realize who it was until they were both in Henry's. I have been hung up on the outfit aspect of this, and that's definitely what I remember.
Sorry if I'm 12 hours on this thread.

He definitely stood out to me when I initially scanned CM's FB friend list. Can't access his FB now...guess he took it down?

Interesting. Why did he stand out to you? She has so many friend on her fb account. The only ones that stand out to me are the people I actually know. Not saying you know the guy, but just wondering why he stood out. Did he have a unique profile pic or something?
