Someone mentioned a Ryan passing away and wondered if it might be RP. I think it might be this Ryan, 2006 graduate of Allen High School, 26 years old, lived in Fort Worth, died August 16, 2014, so sad. http://www.turrentinejacksonmorrow.com/obituaries/robert-begin-49941

Here’s what I see right now living in Legacy. There was a ton of police presence EVERYWHERE that first week. Then for a while there were extra officers patrolling the streets and the park at all hours of the night. And now, these last 4 or 5 days, all of a sudden it is business as usual. No more police walking the side streets to make sure we are safe. No more cruising by our apartments every five minutes. Nope. (Besides the posters still hanging in the windows, you wouldn’t even know anyone had gone missing.) Which begs the question… does this mean I am safe now? Are the police so sure it wasn’t a random act that they no longer feel the need for added protection for ALL THE FEMALES who have to park and walk late at night every night? Or all of us who walk their dogs down the dark sidewalks at 10pm or 4am (yeah, my dog pees early).
The sudden disappearance of police presence this last week (they are all back on Bishop patrolling the main street) and what seems like a lack of concern for any added protection makes me think they must know SOMETHING. Surely they wouldn’t just shrug their shoulders and stop being hyper-vigilant if they were still in the dark, right?
Or maybe I’m just a paranoid person. I did go as far as buying pepper spray so…

Seriously, if the PPD are coming up with nothing, the mom needs help in the way of things the PPD will not help her with. If this were happening to my daughter, I would pay a private investigator or a close friend to help me wire tap that apartment she was in and all of the "friends" vehicles she was with that night. There are audio detection devices and bugging devices that can capture conversation going on inside that apartment that can be used from the outside of the building. Also, small gps locators that can be stuck underneath the cars of those 4-5 friends that were with her that night, and under the guy's car that walked her to the garage, and under the boyfriend's car. The things they say behind closed doors might for sure reveal something or a clue if they really know something and aren't spilling the info. One of them might drive somewhere that would lead her to a clue about where she could be. Of course the PPD will not help her do this. But I would do EVERYTHING including all of the above to try to find a clue about her whereabouts. You can get just buy these devices on your own and they work good. Omg, that is just the beginning of where I would start. Oh, would it be an invasion of their privacy to do those things? Shoot, if it was my daughter I wouldn't care, they are the people she was with right before she disappeared. If they aren't saying anything I would find a way to get some clues!

Good work, I could not find proof he was dead. Maybe this is guy that showed up to her apt and lost his mind. Called her Nick etc. I see he lived in Ft Worth at time of death.

My lab goes early too. I'm up at 4 a.m. and she goes first thing out of the crate outside in the back 40. I'd take the self-defense protection class and learn how to whack the bad guy in the windpipe (think Melissa McCarthy in Identity Thief). Pepper spray is good and maybe consider getting your dog a friend (a BIG FRIEND like a Rottweiler or Doberman Pinscher or German Shepherd). If you're willing take a concealed handgun class and start packing, be prepared they teach you to shoot to kill, not injure or maim, but shoot to kill.

It sounds like Christina's mother is headed back to Oklahoma to me. That's where they live and with no leads on where to look they really don't have much of an option.

I have been wondering why the FB page is closed. When they are begging for any information along with organizing searches and such you would think they would like to share to the masses and not just the few that are actually added to the page.

Help me understand, what would be the advantages or a possible way of thinking that one would want to keep a page like that Closed? Only thing that comes to mind for me was when they were posting what areas people had been searching and then TES came in and told them to stop posting information like that. Those posts were then deleted. Was the page always closed? Just trying to work my brain around making a page to get information out to the public private.

I was just having this discussion with another female neighbor the other day.. I try to just stay around the courtyards after dark when I let me dogs potty. I went out the other morning before light and Parkwood felt alittle eery. It's crazy how something can happen and put the whole area on edge. I think it's getting more nerving because the media is so tight lipped we have NO absolute clue what is going on. I came home last weekend pretty late and was very aware of my surroundings in my parking garage.. A car door Made me almost jump out of my skin!

Were you by chance the resident that told us about the Public Safety meeting? Or anyone on here attend that and hear anything useful?

Exactly. I came home last Sunday at 4:30am and it was very unsettling. I definitely feel edgy and a little disappointed in the lack of security. Especially walking through the parking garage. Mine is right across from the police and I still see none of them anywhere.

No Nordstom at shops, and no big stores at Shops. Nordstrom is at Galleria, and one at Stonebriar

There is one in Plano but not in the shops. Here it's just boutiques and an Urban Outfitters.

Great ideas! That will take some money to accomplish though! The fundraisers should help. Praying that Christina will be found.
