OT- Dallas Parents Are Pulling Their Kids Out of School for Ebola Risks
http://www.star-telegram.com/2014/10/01/6165611/officials-say-only-one-ebola-case.html

Also same article ... Dallas Fire Rescue Crew Is Quarantined that transported the Ebola man.

We may need an Ebola thread. This is crazy. I had a feeling when the doctors came back to the US it was only a matter of time before someone else would get in that had Ebola. This is horrible.

Those who may have been exposed will be monitored for 21 days, the incubation period for the Ebola virus, he said.

Officials would not release the name of the airline or the flight number.

A statement from American Airlines said: “American Airlines does not fly to Africa and we have been told the passenger was not on a connecting flight involving our aircraft. We follow the guidelines put in place by the CDC specifically for airlines and work with our crews to protect the health of our customers and employees.”

If Christina did find her Prince Charming and she's sipping strawberry daiquiris on an exotic beach somewhere, she still needs to call her mommy!

Is someone monitoring the BF? He should get treatment if he is in as bad of shape as he claims.

I told you, Texas. Get out while you can.
They should never have allowed ANYONE that traveled to Ebola affected countries back into
The US until the threat is over.
It is totally irresponsible to put the public through this. IMO.
Stay safe.

A voice of reason amidst the confusion.

Jails have an excellent suicide watch program.

They should have never let a plane coming from Liberia into the country.

Yes treatment is what would help ...like I said earlier today :I hope he is getting grief counseling thru all this ..taking all this on at such a young age must be very intensified. I heard him say in that vid ..that he blames himself for all this .... Please if anyone here knows him ..encourage him to get into a grief and trauma counseling group. In some cases they can prescribe something to take that edge off when learning how to cope.

Or these countries as well:

Patients who have those symptoms and also have been in contact with someone believed to have Ebola or have been in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea or Nigeria in the past 21 days should be considered a person under investigation and tested for the disease, it said.

The alert noted that the virus does not generally spread through air, water or food -- except in Africa, where handling raw bushmeat can spread it.

I heard on ABC news that he traveled from Liberia to Brussels. Then he took a United flight to the US. He had to have changed planes to get to DFW. :noooo:

It's worrisome when trained physicians, who know how to protect themselves from this virus, end up infected.:freakedout:

In the wake of the Ebola .... I think homemade Chicken Noodle Soup is in order...

Maybe he's coming down off something or feeling guilty for not being there for Christina or what sal said. Maybe he's afraid of the ex-BF now.

Do they also have grief counseling ?? He seems almost paranoid

Well, gosh, can you blame him? You and your girlfriend have a disagreement and she leaves your house with plans to "cool off" with her old high school chums in a town an hour away, she calls you repeatedly and finally in your exhaustion you go to your bed, unaware that she is continuing to text because your dog gone phone is out of juice, then four days later you get a call that no one has heard a peep from her and you realize, holy ebola, Batman, neither have I!! Certainly that makes you look like a bit of a heel. It's a bad turn of events, really. I can imagine how he would be guilt ridden. No one would want to be in his shoes. I'm sure he is thinking back on every minute and how he could have done things differently...
