Selling (or re-selling) a high dollar item from the store you work for would raise all kinds of ethical flags and feasibly draw attention from within a large company.

If there's substance to the notion of buying it clearance and employee discounted (and it seems feasible) I wonder if there are friends who were employed by the competing retailer in question. Maybe there were reciprocal arrangements?

Just thought of something.... You raise a very good point. Maybe this is why she is no longer employed with Nordstrom? Jmo

And Chanel is never on clearance. ;)

Yes they are .... when they go to an exclusive resale shop/consignment or when they are cleared out

Wow ... I am gone for a few hours and someone said Luxury Handbags?? O M GEEEEE zy

My brain is already thinking of a few scenarios
I thought it was a bit quite in here!!! Welcome back.

Where are Chanel bags made?

To me, the expensive handbags raise new possibilities. She could have had money stashed away for a "getaway". Or maybe it lends credibility to the theory that she could have ran away with a rich guy she met through her job. Could she have been having a relationship with one of these men, and these were gifts from him? (I don't think so, but it's possible.) Or she could have possibly (even unknowingly) sold a fake as real and made someone angry. Not saying that would lead to her disappearance, but it's something to think about.

Actually the first bag looks a little fake

Wow. I didn't even realize Chanel was even more expensive than she listed!!! That's not being dishonest..she's upfront about them being fake

The first one she does list as authentic

  • #494
How dishonest of her!!!

It's a HUGE business. Well, used to be.
The feds are all over it now.
It is very profitable. The bags come from China. Top grade wholesale for approx. $30 at most (when you buy quantity). The junky ones can be as cheap as $10-$20.
Like I said...very profitable. Unless, you get caught.

I, personally, have never sold them. But I am very familiar with this business here and in China.

And to those who think the genuine ones are made in France...mmm...not so much.

All MOO.

ETA:the black medium flap that she is selling for $2,500 is a steal! It retails for almost $5,000.

Did you mean "she's not upfront about them being fake"? Because the title of one of them says "Authentic" and I'm sure they other ones are "Authentic".

It looks like someone who was interested in the bag and commented on the pics of it bought it and resold it or is in the process of reselling it..

Those bags sure have some skinny straps. Wonder if they've all been accounted for back at the duplex, or if any have mysteriously vanished into the night...

I kind of like that snakeskin wallet for $10. I wonder if it is real snakeskin? I bet lambskin is really soft.

Seems that someone bought that bag for $2500 and is now reselling it on her own page for $3000 and she got it authenticated.
