"They (Texas EquuSearch) joined us earlier this week and have been a great assistance in our efforts to find Clara," the Sherman Police Department said in a social media message on Friday. "After consulting with them, it is our mutual belief that turning over operations to their organization is in the best interest of the search goal ... finding Clara."

“Even though we are ending our daily search efforts, we are not giving up,” said Sherman Chief of Police Jason Jeffcoat. “In conjunction with EquuSearch, we will continue regularly participating in search operations for Clara, as conditions in the creek change.”

Roma's will offer two family pan with either spaghetti or lasagna, feeding 5-7 people, at $50 each.

All proceeds go to the Robinson family.

“We didn’t have anywhere else to look,” he said. “We had called in every asset that we could call in. We had asked every expert that we could find and we did everything that was recommended and still didn’t have any results.”

After talking it over with Texas Equusearch, who had joined the search efforts just a few days prior, they made the tough decision.

“We both felt like their capabilities, the way that their organization is structured and designed, is a better fit and would give the community, would give the Robinson family, the best chance of success,” Boyle said.

The organization's efforts include foot searchers, excavators, drones, K9 teams, kayaks with sonar, helicopters, ATVs, UTVs, and an amphibious vehicle.

According to Texas EquuSearch, drone images are being processed, with further search operations planned for Thursday through Sunday.

This weekend, the organization will begin using drones to investigate ...

"We're going to start at each drone target. The drone technology actually deciphers colors, and will leave a picture and a GPS coordinate. We have to go run down that coordinate in that river, bust through the woods, until we get to that location and put eyes on it," Edwards explained.

If Robinson is not found during these efforts, Texas EquuSearch has a plan for an underwater search to begin on February 1 and continue through February 4. ...

Volunteers with Texas EquuSearch had to pause their search efforts for the body of 8-year-old Clara Robinson on Thursday due to the recent heavy rain and high waters. Search efforts should be resuming today, Friday January 31st. For the families' sake I hope she's found soon.

I live nearby and it seems sherman PD haven't posted about Clara and the search in a while. Seen a lot of locals saying they should have started at the red river and worked back but I think it's too late for that now.

As part of the continued search efforts, Texas EquuSearch has provided new details about the clothing Clara was last seen wearing. Clara was dressed in a two-piece pink pajama set that includes a long-sleeve shirt and pants.

She was also wearing short, tan boots made of a suede-like material in a child’s size 1.

The organization included photos of the actual clothing and boots worn by Clara with permission from the Robinson family.

On Monday, specialized divers from Oklahoma and Houston spent time scouring Post Oak Creek, about 4.5 miles from the crash site.

At one point, the men all froze. The warmer weather is bringing out snakes, said Edwards.

Those familiar with the environment fear Clara may have been swept out to the Red River or even the Mississippi River or that feral hogs may have gotten ahold of the child.

Texas EquuSearch said Clara was last seen wearing pink long sleeve pajamas and short, size 1 tan boots of suede-like material. Anyone living along Post Oak Creek and Choctaw Creek should remain alert for any fabric or personal belongings matching that description.

Texas EquuSearch said to date it's used foot searchers, excavators, drones, K9 teams, a helicopter, ATV's and UTV's as well as other water vehicles to search the area.

I think ‘feral hogs’ is the scariest thing I’ve read here in a while, in this context. My stomach hurts. Praying she is found. MOO

It was also pretty disgusting to publish such an inference without evidence suggesting it could be true. No one needs to read that kind of sensationalism.

And what on earth do they mean by, "all the men froze"? Were they that cold, or were they afraid of the snakes? The article doesn't get any award for journalism. jmo

Local diver in Sherman calls on volunteer divers to search for Clara Robinson

  • The professional diver has assisted officials in the search for Clara since the crash.
  • He posted on FB this week that a generous community member has offered to purchase chest waders for anyone physically capable of helping to search the creeks this weekend.
  • This will mean walking in waters all day, and the search group cannot afford any risks of medical emergencies or evacuations.

Equusearch just posted they are calling off their search for her.
Update on Search Efforts for Clara Robinson: A Community United in Hope and Resolve

Sherman, Texas – From the very beginning, the search for Clara Robinson has stood as a testament to the power of unity, compassion, and unwavering resolve. This mission has unfolded across complex and unpredictable terrain, and through every challenge, no stone has been left unturned.

Ground search operations conducted by Texas EquuSearch officially concluded on February 17, 2025. Following that, a focused underwater search phase continued, led by highly skilled Texas EquuSearch Dive and Water Recovery Team volunteers, alongside equally skilled and dedicated local dive volunteers who committed themselves from the earliest days of the search.

Despite every effort, Clara has not yet been found. After conducting one final water search this past weekend, Texas EquuSearch has made the difficult and gut-wrenching decision to formally conclude its search operations as of Sunday, April 27, 2025.

From this point forward, our local dive partners will independently carry on the search in their own time and manner. Additionally, Texas EquuSearch remains open to revisiting efforts should a new and viable plan or expert-supported strategy arise.

We extend our deepest gratitude to every searcher, responder, and supporter who has contributed time, heart, and strength to this mission.

To all who have stood with us, searched alongside us, and lifted us in prayer—thank you.

Clara remains in all of our hearts. 💛

"At the end of it all, they had done everything that they felt like they could do, and their were no further leads to follow," said Sherman police spokesperson Lt. Sam Boyle. "We're all sad. Nobody wanted to find Clara more than we did."

"We are truly humbled by the outpouring of support and heartfelt solidarity shown throughout this journey," Texas EquuSearch said in its statement. "Clara remains in all of our hearts."
