Dementia patient missing in southeast Houston; last seen wearing red pajamas and shirt with flowers


Police in southeast Houston early Monday are asking the public to be on the lookout for a missing 86-year-old woman.

Cora Thompson Smith was last seen at about 1:35 a.m. Monday at her home in the 7500 block of Kingsley, just south of I-45 and 610 South.

Houston police were told the woman suffers from dementia. She was last seen wearing red pajamas and a white shirt with flowers on it. She may not be wearing shoes. She also walks with a limp.

Smith weighs 130 pounds and is 5 feet, 3 inches tall. She has brown eyes and gray hair.

Elderly woman with dementia missing from Houston home


An elderly Houston woman who has been diagnosed with dementia is missing from her Golfcrest area home and police need help finding her.

Cora Thompson Smith, 86, was last seen about 1:35 a.m. Monday at her home in the 7500 block of Kingsley in southeast Houston, police said. She is African American and has brown eyes and gray hair. She is about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds.

I’m curious to the circumstances around her being last seen around 1:30am...meaning did someone specific see her then? Woke up and realized she was gone? Video caught her leaving then?
