I think his family identied him. Name isn't public but said he lived near by.

HOUSTON – Police are investigating a drowning after a man’s body was found floating in Lake Houston Wednesday evening.
According to the Houston Police Department, officers were called at 6 p.m. to a home at Bluff View Drive and Deep Anchor Way near Lake Houston.
When HPD and the Lake Patrol Boat arrived, they found an adult black male dead from an apparent drowning.
Officers stated there appears to be no trauma, and it is unclear how he ended up in the water.
