Hello, long time lurker...first time case submitter so I hope I get this right. This is a very obscure cold case from 1981. Someone walked into a tavern and shot 4 people execution style and walked back out. Did not steal a thing, and there has never been a known motive...at least to the public. Law enforcement have said once or twice before they had a suspect, only for it to lead to nothing.

The case is bizarre to me in the fact that theres so little available about it. The newspaper link is Here However its from 10 years after the fact and only has vague details about it. There is also a podcast I listened to that gives a little more detail, but not much more.

I'm attaching pictures of the 3 of the 4 victims, the 4th does not have any available online. William actually lived for a month after his attack and provided police with info, but it led to nothing apparently.

Hopefully I did this right. If you have any questions, I can try to answer what I found on the podcast to save you the time of listening. Or I can provide a link.

When I read this, I was reminded of the Witchduck Inn murders thirteen years later. Although in that instance there was a clear motive (robbery) and two suspects were quickly identified. Seems odd that this case was never solved. There would seem to be only a few reasons, outside of robbery, that would cause someone to do this.

Bump. I still can't believe it's almost impossible to find any info about this case. These were people with lives and families, and it's bizarre how little is left behind.
