Though the oldest daughter(ex husband) was 20 at the time of divorce , and there would not be no reason to establish custody. I also thought the daughter lived with the mother primarily. So, if it is split custody, it has to be between their two children. They might have done this for tax purposes. That is the only reason I could see splitting custody.

From that PI, yesterday, on the public missing page

"We have had a witness come forward who has led us to believe that there are more eyewitnesses that saw what happened at that Motel 6"

The other reason would be if Dad were not the father of one of them.

I have a question! *raises hand*

I keep reading that the boyfriend was replacing the ex on the cruise. I haven't seen any MSM links stating that? Can someone point me to it?

It's weird to me that it was booked with the ex to begin with unless it was booked prior to filing for and obtaining the divorce. Also, was the uncle always going on this cruise or is that all rumor?

I think it is in the Bansfield transcript, someone posted a link.

Doubtful. If you had that kind of money, would you be staying in a seedy Motel 6 in a crappy area?

Maybe. Living a secret life? I think back to the Paige Birgfeld case.

if you post a link that shows up as astericks, it means that source is not allowed to be quoted on WS

I think with custody if you are taking the kids out of the country there is a form that has to be shown saying the other parent allows it. I can't remember what thread i had seen this on another case, it keeps parents from "running away" with the kids. Maybe someone can give a better "smarter" answer to that

Snipped...

......The last time anyone heard from Crystal was the morning of Friday, August 25 in a message to her uncle, Jeff.

Can anyone find another MSM source claiming Jeff said he actually SPOKE to Crystal???

Snipped...
...As far as the family knows, she was supposed to attend an opening that morning and a closing at 2 p.m. based on a phone call that morning from her to Walters. Walters said she had a good attitude when she called and was looking forward to the day. He had tried to find out who the closing and opening was with and has attempted to contact the closing companies but they have been closed.

Hopefully I haven't missed anything on this but the only person I've heard talk about the cruise thus far is the BF. It would be nice to get some confirmation on this cruise. It appears, according to the Nancy Grace podcast interview with BF that he stated that the cruise had been planned months ago with CM, EX, kids and uncle originally going. According to him, he was surprised by an e-mail from Carnival welcoming him to the cruise (paraphrasing here). He states that Crystal paid for him to go. Said he didn't feel comfortable if the EX was going too.
Now, at this point I am left having to assume that Crystal removed the EX from the passenger list and put BF in his place.

I've cruised before and on two of those trips had to change the name of the passenger accompanying me to someone else. I did not have to pay for another fare, I simply changed the passenger from one name to another and provided all the documentation. So, I don't understand BF stating that she had bought him fare for the cruise. Each passenger is treated separately on a cruise. Sometimes with special deals, children can go as third and fourth guests as free, but each adult is full fare or the one adult will have to pay for two adults.

I'm assuming here that the uncle would have been paying for his own cabin. He has not spoken about the cruise and if he was planning on going, it has not been mentioned of he was going to be a solo quest. If the original booking was for one cabin for Crystal, EX and kids and one cabin for the uncle and no one else or somebody else, no one knows.
I can only guess that if the EX did not know about the BF, he certainly did not know that he had been deleted from the passenger list either, unless, EX just found out and that made the situation explode in some way. JMO

Yes this is true. My DD traveled between countries after my divorce, and I had to supply a signed and notarized letter of permission. That was in the late 90s and 2000s so I don't know if that's still the case, though I would imagine it is.

Yes, that is usually done. Looks like the poster above beat me to it, but I can attest that is still done. When my ex took our daughters to Canada a couple times, I had to get a letter notarized giving my approval for her to take the them out of the country, and she even has legal custody of the kids (though I have visitation rights with them).
