I think with custody if you are taking the kids out of the country there is a form that has to be shown saying the other parent allows it. I can't remember what thread i had seen this on another case, it keeps parents from "running away" with the kids. Maybe someone can give a better "smarter" answer to that

Probably my question on the Isabella Hellmann thread. I asked how Lewis could have left America with the baby without both parents. Turns out that is only if the parents are divorced and apparently it isn't always asked for.

I always bring a signed letter when traveling. I'm married but sometimes travel with my child and no husband. They always check my letter. But it's never been notarized and that's never been an issue. Maybe it would be if we were divorced.

I know they suggest bringing both custody papers and a notarized letter if the parents aren't together

I think he's either totally befuddled or playing everything extremely close to the vest. I think they have a good idea about what happened and need to continue to prove what they already know.

I still think she was dating others...I don't think this was random. I'm still not sure she didn't go to motel herself.

But something made them search around ex work today.....hmmmmmm I just can't knock him from the top spot.

That's an interesting thought. I wonder how that works for Texas law. In PA, parents can have joint custody and each can claim 1 (if two children for example) for tax purposes so long as custody is 50/50..... *thinking*
