Over the weekend, detectives discovered video footage of D'Lanny Chairez riding a VIA bus. The video is from February 24, 2021. SAPD said she rode the bus for several hours before exiting at the North Star Transit Center station near the North Star Mall along Loop 410.

Dlanny was seen. I have not seen any report of James being seen that day. :(

Nov 26, 2020 - The last time anyone in the family saw JAMES was Thanksgiving. [1]

Jan 4, 2021 - DLANNY AND JAMES were captured on video inside a drug store at Marbach Road and Military Drive. [1]

Early Feb, 2021 - Through a credible tip, DLANNY AND JAMES were seen at Pearsall Park in the early days of February during "late night hours." [1]

Feb 22, 2021 - DLANNY AND JAMES were seen by neighbor? MG has doubts about this account. [2]

Feb 22, 2021 - MG filed missing persons report for DLANNY AND JAMES after talking to residents in Dlanny's neighborhood. [2]

Feb 24, 2021 - DLANNY was seen at a local bus station near Highway 90 and SW Military Drive. She rode the bus for hours before getting off at the North Star Transit station. [3]

Around the end of Feb, 2021 - The last time MG says she saw DLANNY. [1]

Sigh...no sign of James at the bus station makes my heart hurt. Where are you baby James?

SAPD confirmed she was arrested, saying the investigation is still active and the search for James Avi is ongoing.

"Investigators believe baby James is still in the San Antonio area. We are asking for any information on baby James’ whereabouts and who he may be with to call SAPD Missing Person’s Unit at 210-207-7660.”

Not sounding good.

It says she refused to answer questions from investigators but told them she did not feel prepared to be a mother and considered giving the baby up for adoption.

Investigators say they searched her trailer and found a bedsheet from a crib with what proved to be human blood on it.

SAPD investigators believe baby James is still in the San Antonio area. They are asking for any information on baby James’ whereabouts and who he may be with to call SAPD Missing Person’s Unit at 210-207-7660.

Chairez is being held on a $250,000 bond.

Noting:

Court records say family members have since questioned her about where she and James are, but she has been inconsistent, even saying she gave him away to “multiple different people for adoption.”

Chairez was also seen on video camera since, including on a VIA bus, but court records say she has not been seen with James since Feb. 21, 2021. ...

Police brought Chairez in for questioning Monday to question her about where she and her son have been. However, they say she would not say where he was, only saying she gave him up for adoption.

Oh no. I’m guessing D’Lanny and James weren’t living with anyone and her family did not live close by? :(

Where is little James? Please let him be safe somewhere!

Unfortunately, I think any good samaritan would more than likely contact the police or CPS if they were "given" a baby:(

Right now police are searching for 18-month-old James Chairez after he was last seen with his mom at a Walgreens on the west side back in January.

Police found the baby's mother and have arrested her in connection with her son's disappearance.

Detectives are telling us they believe Baby James is alive and in the San Antonio area.

Investigators say the mother is refusing to answer questions about where James could be.

“I just want answers I want to make sure that my nephew is good,” said Mariesol Gomez, D’Lanny Chairez’s aunt. “I love him like he’s one of my kids.”
