Unidentified Body Found In Trinity River in June

DALLAS, TX — Police in Dallas are asking for the public's help identifying a man's body found floating in the Trinity River in early June.

Authorities said the body was found near the 5300 block of Julius Schepps Freeway on June 9. The man was wearing a red Texas Rangers shirt, dark-colored boxer shorts and a black sock on his left foot

That surprises me too. If the tattoos are legible, one would think that some racial or ethnic features would be identifiable as well.

That aside, the slang spelling of 'Hustler" and "Fantastic" seem to mirror black street slang phonetic pronunciations. Likewise, the possible names on the left arm could be more common with black Americans. As for the cross, well, its a cross, not a crucifix. Most Hispanics are Catholic and may have been more likely to opt for a crucifix. The area in which the body was found also has a large black American population (as well as Hispanic).

Of course, none of this truly establishes his race, but it could provide a starting point. The Texas Rangers shirt could imply a DFW local, rather than a transient.

It’s possible he is from the area I work in. I would only know him in passing and by his tats. He is somebody’s loved one and it’s killing me to know who might be missing him

Vetone was also released from custody 5/2018. This body was found a month later.

so there is only one UID for dallas tx on 6/9/18 and he was found in an abandoned vehicle so its prob not this guy. i wonder if he has been ID'd.
