Dana's story is currently going national. I've seen articles by Inside Edition, People, Oxygen and etc. I'm so glad it's getting this attention and I pray it puts some heat on those that are responsible for her disappearance.

I'm so worried for Dana.

hibachi, what does it say? Is the info from an approved source?

Edited to add:
As search of several DFW msm sites comes up with nothing new in the last several days.

The FB post is by the Dallas PD and indicates she was found safely today.

So she snuck out in the middle of the night with luggage to take a train from St Louis, MO to Dallas, TX to meet up with some guy nobody she knows has ever heard of then calls her mom having a meltdown like this guy in the shower is some kidnapper so her mom and wife and grandma drive to Dallas and search the strip clubs.

I'm glad she turned up safe because otherwise I would have felt bad for thinking this sounded ridiculous.

Why would they have been searching strip clubs if she was locked in a house and couldn’t leave?

I’m glad she was found safe.

Can you point me to the MSM that says they were searching strip clubs for her? Thanks!

“I did everything that we could. We put up flyers everywhere we could think of. I searched woods, ditches, searched strip clubs, all of that for four days,” Clay said.

Perhaps the strip club searches (with context) is her mothers way of saying she has scoured that town for Dana. I imagine the phone call was enough to make her want to tear that place apart looking for her daughter.

So the guy that was holding her hostage hasn’t been charged?

Trip turned into nightmare for missing St. Louis woman found in Dallas | FOX 2

ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis woman is thankful she’s alive after a trip out of town turned into a nightmare.

“I cannot believe it happened. I’m still depressed and trying to dig out of this hole,” said Dana Holt.

Holt’s family filed a missing person’s report in March after Holt went to Dallas to visit her new boyfriend, Charles Hall. He is also from St. Louis and someone Holt has known for years.

She said everything was fine until Hall got abusive.

Hall is currently still in jail in Tarrant County, Texas. Police said he’s facing charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of narcotics.

Thank you for posting this update - glad to see he's in custody. Wishing Dana the best

This story has more holes than Swiss cheese.

I'm not buying the "boyfriend" part.

Holt is quoted as saying:
“He probably freaked out and snapped. Like, he snapped. That was straight evil,” Holt said. “He had a gun to my face and he said, ‘If you pepper-spray me, I’m going to shoot you.'”

Probably? Pepper spray in her hand?

Not saying she wasn't a victim of abuse. But I am skeptical that the situation is as the family & victim represent.

I doubt this will be something covered very well in the media but it would be somewhat interesting. My guess is that he made the mistake of using a threat of lethal force to defend himself against a threat of non-lethal force.

That kind of situation is usually a gray area as its somebody shooting somebody else after they got punched or hit with a rock or something but pepper spray is explicitly non-lethal. On the other hand, once a person is incapacitated their ability to defend themselves is compromised.

I may need to swap out the first round in my magazines for rubber slugs.

You're saying she threatened him initially? How do we know she didn't pull the pepper spray to try to defend herself?

We don't know anything because we weren't there. I'm merely speculating on his likely defense strategy and how modern bonkers "stand your ground" law might apply to it.

It's Texas and she went to him.... She and the family might want to save it for the stand. Probably. IMO
