Is there any word on how the poster/balloon event went? As someone who lives in the area, I think it's really sad that this case has gotten some national attention and yet absolutely none locally.

It went excellent! Will have photos on Danielle's website by Wednesday.

Danielle Hill Alvarado: Missing from Texas since 2010

Danielle Hill Alvarado, 27, was last seen on January 24, 2010, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Danielle went to church services with her grandmother and mother even though it angered her husband.

[snip]

Balynnda was told that Danielle was choked and put in a landfill. When she told the police this information, they said it would be impossible to search the landfill.

So the husband admitted to choking her and putting her in landfill, but hasn't been named as a suspect in her death? Really???

May she have a proper interment and rest in peace.
Since she was found as the result of a tip, I pray there will be the evidence needed to get a conviction in this case.

I thought she was in the landfill?
So much for that confession...

Does anyone know how the husband died?

A homicide investigation is now underway to find out what exactly happened to Danielle, and how her body ended up buried in the park.

However, Balynnda said she thinks she already knows who is responsible.

She said she feels it was Danielle's husband, Jonathan, who took his own life last September.

"Danielle went through a lot of abuse with him," said Balynnda, "mentally, physically, emotionally, and eventually it took her life."

Balynnda said she hopes others can learn from this story that no one should stay in an abusive relationship.
