There is a Good Samaritan Act (or law) in all 50 states that protects individuals providing aid to a victim of illness or accident.I'm sorry but could you please explain this, if you have more information? I'm not from the US and I have never heard such a thing. I thought it would be illegal not to call for help.
Texas has a Good Samaritan law (Section 74.151 of the Texas Civil Code) that protects individuals from civil liability for harm caused while providing emergency assistance to someone in peril, provided the rescuer acts reasonably and without gross negligence. The law encourages voluntary help in emergencies but has exceptions, such as for medical professionals, those expecting compensation, or those responsible for the original injury.
