Facebook says she lives in New Mexico and is from Longview, TX, so what was she doing in Odessa? She has a few friends from there, none of whom are talking about her. In fact, no one seems to be talking about her online - who reported her missing? What was she wearing?

The Odessa Police Department on Wednesday asked for the public’s help in finding a 23-year-old woman who hasn’t been seen since walking toward the University of Texas of the Permian Basin on Tuesday.

Dyese Wesley was last seen at about 2 p.m. Tuesday in the 5000 block of East 42nd Street.

A convicted felon was arrested Wednesday on accusations that she had a handgun that was reported stolen out of New Mexico.

Dyese Wesley, who is a convicted felon out of North Carolina, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a third-degree felony, and theft of a firearm, a state jail felony. Wesley’s booking information was not immediately available at press time.

The only Dyese Wesley we have in NCID was convicted of Misdemeanor Larceny and Resisting an officer in 2012 and received Probation.
