Name: Elijah Bess
Last Contact: October 9, 2025
Last Known Location: Area near Tin Mine, North Franklin, Martin Trail, Bowen Ranch
Vehicle: Silver 2009 Toyota Corolla

Elijah is 5’7” with brown hair and brown eyes. He has not been in contact with family or friends since October 9th. This is completely out of character, and those who love him are deeply concerned for his safety.

He may have been staying either in his vehicle (silver 2009 Toyota Corolla) or on Fort Bliss, Barracks #225, Room 20305. His last known photos were sent around 5:00 PM on October 9th from the El Paso Tin Mine area.

If you have seen Elijah, his vehicle, or heard from him, please contact local authorities immediately and message Lovell Bess or me directly. Even the smallest piece of information could help bring him home safely.

Please share this post far and wide. The more eyes we have, the better the chance of finding Elijah and reuniting him with his loved ones.

For how long may he have been staying in his vehicle or at Fort Bliss? Certainly someone at Fort Bliss would have noticed his absence, if he was required to be there? This is very confusing.

Maybe the military isn't telling the family when he was last seen on base?

This video within the TrailForks website has some pretty good footage of the area, and what it looks like down in the mind. I hope it gets enough visiters that if he had a minor fall or injury he will be found quickly. https://www.trailforks.com/video/136789/

Hoping for good news soon. SMH. Those mines look interesting, but not my cuppa tea.
And yes, seems like someone would know something about where he might have been going.

Assorted thoughts:

I'm assuming the area around the actual mines does not contain any hidden or forgotten mineshafts/entrances that someone could fall into, because it's a popular outdoor recreation area

Did he step off the trail to relieve himself and get lost in the brush? Are there animals that could have attacked him in that region?

Are there other mines or hidey holes in the area that are lesser known or known only to locals, or teens/urban explorers?

Did he miss the turnoff to the mine and get lost? From the video linked above it doesn't seem like you can really get lost IN the mine
