Missing 44-year-old woman last seen leaving Chambers County RV Park on June 2

The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help finding a 44-year-old woman reported missing after leaving a RV park on June 2.

Elizabeth Ann Nivans was last seen at approximately 7 p.m. on June 2, walking east on the Interstate 10 service road away from the Houston East RV Park.

Surveillance video then showed Nivans walking south on Needlepoint Road towards Kilgore Parkway.

The sheriff’s office said she left her RV without any of her belongings ...

She was last seen wearing a pink shirt with grey shorts.

Strange that she would be walking on the I-10 feeder road. It’s not safe. The RV park looks pretty decent, but the surrounding area is not great.

Light industrial and commercial. Fine if you're going to buy some tires for your big rig but not as a place to live. Depressing. Also, a lot of nothing and not a place I'd feel safe walking alone at 7PM. Location she was found:

Tragically, TEXSAR personnel and Sheriff’s Deputies discovered the body of Elizabeth Nivans in the targeted search area on Thursday, June 20. Justice of the Peace Larry Cryer responded to the scene and has ordered an autopsy to be performed. The investigation remains ongoing.

The Sheriff’s Office extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Elizabeth Nivans. Additionally, the Sheriff’s Office expresses gratitude to TEXSAR for their professionalism, dedication to service, and the generous donation of their time, resources, and expertise in helping to locate Elizabeth and bring answers to her family.
