Today marks 7 years since Liz was senselessly murdered. I do hope that this year someone comes forward or new information is found. This is way too long for a family to wait for answers.

ABC 13 Eyewitness News Article - January 23, 2026

Father's dying wish renews urgency in unsolved 2019 Liz Barraza murder

The 29-year-old was shot and killed on the morning of Jan. 25, 2019, outside her home on Cedar Walk Drive near Tomball. She was setting up for a garage sale.

Her parents, Rosemary and Robert "Bob" Nuelle, have spent years pleading for information in a case that continues to frustrate investigators.

"I could be around for a couple of years, or it could be a couple of months," Bob said. "It's in God's hands."

Bob Nuelle was diagnosed last year with stage four esophageal cancer that has spread to his liver, lungs, lymph nodes, femur, and spine, he says. He has lost 150 pounds and relies on a feeding tube.

For Bob Nuelle, his wish is simple.

"If you ever needed to pull on your heartstrings. A 67-year-old man dying and not knowing who shot his daughter," he said. "I'm hoping this makes it hard to keep that silence."

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477) or by submitting a tip online. Tips can be made anonymously.

That's heartbreaking. Wish the killer would have some decency and turn themselves in. 😞 So dang frustrating and sad they’ve gotten away with it for this long.

The unsolved murder of Liz Barraza is personal to me.

The title of this story, A Father’s Dying Wish, brings me to tears because the reality is we do not know how much longer Bob has with us. We need answers now.

Bob is my friend. He is a father who has spent seven years living with the unresolved murder of his daughter, Liz Barraza. No parent should have to carry that kind of loss, especially without answers.

Liz’s case is complicated. Many in law enforcement have worked it, and still it remains unsolved. Someone somewhere has information and has not come forward.

Bob is battling esophageal cancer. I want him to see answers in his lifetime. His family deserves that. Liz deserves that. Bob deserves that.

There is a $50,000 reward for information leading to the person responsible for Liz’s murder.

If you know anything, please contact Houston Crime Stoppers at 713 222 TIPS 8477. Tips can remain anonymous.

Please read Liz’s story.
Please share it.
Someone knows something.

Agree with what Mrs. Nuelle stated. I have thought the same for sometime.

Seven years ago, a 29-year-old woman was pronounced dead after being gunned down while setting up a garage sale at her Tomball area home.

The Consult Real FBI Profilers Part 1 asked insightful questions and did great. Haven’t
Listened to Part 2 yet. Im so glad I found this podcast.

Its my understanding that Liz’s Dad called her the night before (Thursday) she was killed to advise Liz that he needed to look for employment and wouldn’t be showing up the next morning to help her with the garage sale.

In addition, I suspect that LE already looked into OB’s and SB’s warehouse - I've seen no mention of a search warrant, so who knows? It all leads back to who benefits from Liz’s murder.

My opinion only
