TX TX - Elizabeth Barraza, 29, murdered setting up garage sale, Harris Co, Jan 2019 #7

Not sure what you mean by this - maybe you’re referring to this?

That said, LE doesn’t have the VIN, to my knowledge - that’s generally stamped somewhere on the frame of the car. I’m not even sure they have a license plate number (otherwise it’s owner wouldn’t still be a mystery.)

This Reddit post claims some numbers of total Frontier Pro-4Xs made, although they don’t cite a source for their numbers. Nissan reports 62,837 sales nationwide for 2013, although they don’t break it down by trim level (ie ‘regular’ Frontier vs Pro-4x) or color.

Speaking of color, there were 8, 3 of which could possibly be mistaken for the other at night: SuperBlack, Night Armor, and Graphite Blue:

I have a Nissan that's Night Armor. It's not black, but a very dark grey.

Right, my point was just that in low light or at a distance, it may be difficult to disambiguate black from dark gray or similar non-black but dark colors.

If Liz's father had not changed his plans to be at the garage sale the next morning to help Liz, would Liz still had been murdered that Fri. morning? If not, Im sure it would have happened another time, but it's an interesting thought nonetheless.

Previously, Ive always thought the five year anniversary played a role in the murder, but not so much anymore.

Subject to change.

All just a matter of an opinion.

The TCB podcast (which mostly covers the Missy Bevers case) recently interviewed Sgt. Michael Ritchie about Liz's murder, if anyone's interested. It's mostly things we've heard before but still worth a listen.

Have we seen an image or know what the garage sale signs said? What was the start time?

I listened this morning and agree it’s worth it. Just don’t quit before it’s done because at one point it seems like he’s pointing in one direction (he brings up the life insurance without even being asked) but if you keep listening it seems like he points to possibly another direction or two and stands up for SB. And yet it seems they have a good idea who it is. YET, on one more hand (!) the guest is a victim advocate and I’m not sure how inside he is to the investigation. He is very close to the Nuelle family. The interviewer brings up a couple of nuggets I haven’t heard, which I might not be able to say here because possibly rumor/hearsay not from MSM.
Thanks for the recommendation. I don’t listen to a lot of podcasts and had never listened to this one.

Depends on when the dad would have arrived at Liz' home: early in the morning at 7h or later.

Either way, everyone calls Liz "aware" but if she were really scared, would she have ever started the sale that early?

Another question. Liz had previous garage sales, I imagine. Parents used the word akin to "frugal", and it is the land of garage sales, i think. Did she ever start early and stay alone, or did this garage sale stand out (no big advertisement, Liz being alone early in the darkness, etc)?

Also. Look at the Tepes case. Someone from your past can emerge to kill you. Are we right into limiting the murderer by a certain time period, 501 and her life with Sergio?

Could it be someone prior?

Her year at Sam Houston
Her prior college
She lived in Florida before...she was social. You know how it happens, someone is pushed out of a girls' group in favor of Liz. Something minor but what the person always remembered?

When we hear, Liz was universally loved, it could be true for today. But perhaps her parents might look into much earlier time? Girls' squabbles?

Liz, to me, seemed more of an imaginative romantic. After all, hobbies are chosen by the way they challenge our imagination. Could someone around Liz quietly "cross the line" from active imagination into "in deep" phase without cosplayers noticing it?
I think so.

I would not be surprised if group activities (dress outs, costume builds, administrative meetings) have voluntary attendance, especially for non officers.

This could support the following scenario:

Cosplayer "C's participation starts out normal and healthy. Though she (shooter vibes female to me) has a love of Star Wars and enjoys participating in the group, "C" also has outside interests and outside friends and family.

"C" then experiences some kind of stress. Maybe a divorce, estrangement from family, job loss etc. As she sporadically attends group activities, nobody immediately realizes that C is becoming a deep diver whose sole source of friends, self esteem, and social status is the Cosplay world.

C is then somehow "dissed" by Liz. She then...... .

That, too. To this, one should add illness, btw, and not necessarily mental. Anything that is limiting the person’s world. But first of all, I’d mention loss of any partner that ties “her” up to “external” life. Either it is a real partner who is not into cosplay or a dog that one could walk daily.

IMHO this is key. It's not just a coincidence that the Frontier began moving exactly when Sergio left for work. The key is finding out how the Frontier's occupant(s) were alerted - hacked into the doorbell camera? Had a tracking device on Sergio's vehicle? A call or text from a burner phone, or someone in neighboring house who could see the entire thing?
I totally agree.

I know other posters have touched on this before, but I really can't shake the feeling that one of the keys to this investigation is the source of the gunshot previously fired into Liz's workplace and the burglary that occurred at her and SB's old residence. They could be unrelated to one another and unrelated to the murder, but to me it seems like someone was stalking or trying to intimidate Liz for quite some time. The big question of course is why?
Do you have a link or anything for those conjectures? I don't recall reading that. Thank you

TCB are fantastic. imo
Jmo, there's a lot of information I wasnt aware of. I highly recommend anyone interested in Liz's case to take a listen.

Glad to see that Liz's case is still in the public. Seems more so with media influencers than MSM.

Sgt. Ritchie cleared up a few matters that I thought were rumors, however, were not.

My hope is for Sgt. Ritchie to reexamine certain areas of the case. Ive said it before that the first 20 pages of an initial investigation speak volumes. A set of new eyes would definitely assist him with catching the murderer. There is more than one person who knows what happened to Liz.

This is a solvable case. Just an opinion.
