Information: She may go by the nickname Beth or Lizzie.

15-year-old Elizabeth Ennen went missing January 5th, 2011. Ennen was babysitting for close family friends at the Carriage House Motel that night. She was then dropped off by those friends at her home near 42nd and Avenue L at 1:30 in the morning. We're told she left her purse inside the car so the family went to return it to her, only to find out she never went inside her home. Ennen is also without her medication for a mental disorder. Her family fears the worst and they said not much has been done by authorities to help find their teenage daughter.

"There's times I do and times I don't," said Virginia Ennen, Elizabeth's mother. "Some of the time I feel like it was just being pushed to the side because they classified her as a runaway."

"You know a 15 year old girl, no purse, no cell phone, no clothes, she wasn't even wearing a heavy coat why aren't we looking harder?" asked Mary, Elizabeth's aunt.

If you know anything about Elizabeth Ennen's where abouts please call the Lubbock Police Department at 775-2873."

snipped-
In a phone conversation with Lubbock Police Lieutenant Roger Cox late Thursday afternoon, he told this author that he would review what, if anything, was being done in Elizabeth's case.

Upon hearing of the circumstances surrounding Elizabeth's disappearance - that she was babysitting at the Carriage House Motel, dropped off at her home around 1:30 a.m., forgot her purse in the car, and when the people she was babysitting for went to her home to return her purse, they learned she'd never made it inside - Lt. Cox said, "It sounds suspicious to me."

super suspicious!! The family is frustrated from what I have read on the FB page set up by her mother-I can't believe she's being classed as a runaway, I don't understand how this works...

You always make sure your babysitter goes in through their front door. ALWAYS !!!!!

Yes that very much disturbs me...

I would love to know if she even had a door key, since she left her purse in the car. Or was she going to knock on the door?
Apparently the people who dropped her off returned with 10 -15 minutes to bring her purse... you would think they could see her walking, if they were taking the same routes.

There may be more to come out, so can't really dig too much yet...

seems odd to be babysitting at a motel doesn't it? I wonder if these were trusted friends or strangers-how she got the job.

:( I hope she is found safe and quickly.

It's bothering me that the two girls look very similar .... and aren't that far apart... how close to major highways / etc. was it that Elizabeth went missing ?

If you enter +33.5561, -101.8482 on Google Earth it seems very close to N Interstate 27

Yes the home is within 1000 ft of I 27....and there are north & southbound frontage rds. at the 42nd overpass...with access to the interstate close by.

Yet ANOTHER runaway in TX???

This is the ONLY media coverage in two weeks?
Prayers for Elizabeth for a quick return!
Prayers for her family also.... (wondering what family she has... mom, dad, step?-siblings)

Just thinking... TX schools should have something in their curriculum to educate kids about options instead of running away!

Ack! I see I have been posting on the 'other' thread for Elizabeth, I hadn't seen this one. Sorry if I did something wrong, should I try to get other's deleted? :(

It was said, Close family friends.... I wonder how?

Also... how long was it from when they dropped her off @1:30 until they returned w/her purse, only to find her not there?

eta~sorry just saw post above that says 10-15 mins...

Who are these close friends?
Where were they that they needed a babysitter at a motel?
Can their timeline be confirmed?
What time did Elizabeth leave to go babysit?
How did she get to the motel?

Just firing off questions off the top of my head.

Mod- I am kinda new here :) is there someway to merge these 2 threads?? Can that be done? I will alert on this, I guess that is what to do?

Well alert says do for certain things- anyone know who to ask if this can be merged, or whatever WS does under this circumstance??
thanks!

Thank you for asking/taking care of :) (I guess we will both learn lol) (still trying to figure out how to multi quote also)

I wonder which school she went to. Lubbock and surrounding areas have a boat load of private schools. Lubbock ISD came back from holiday break on January 4th. She was babysitting on a Wednesday night till 1:30? That's odd, unless she went to a private school that wasn't back in session yet.
