PIERS MORGAN meets a psychopath (through reinforced glass) as clever as he is twisted | Daily Mail Online
'You're not allowed to sit with him face to face,' briefed Stuart Cabb, who runs the TV production company that makes my crime documentaries. 'Why not?' I asked, mindful of the fact that I have previously sat face to face with numerous horrific serial killers and murderesses.
'He's too dangerous,' came the reply.
Wow. Given the extremity of violence committed by some of my interviewees, this was an extraordinary statement.
'So how will I speak to him?'
He'll be in a secure room, behind heavily reinforced glass and monitored by armed guards.'
'No direct contact at all?'
'None. The prison has been unwavering about this. It's for your safety.'
I have watched this. It’s mind blowing. This is the case that originally brought me to WS.Just heard about this case via the DM and Piers Morgan. I lived in Abilene for a year or so - but a few years before this happened. Never heard about the case. There is an interesting thread about this over on Reddit under the JBR section. That family has some dark dark dark history.... Now I am off to watch the docu.
Anyone interested in the docu, its on Amazon (free for prime)

Also, it is on YT...the comments are interesting there too.
That person is also the person who is spending 40 years behind bars for a crime so horrific that countless headlines describe him as a psychopath. I am not a psychiatrist, but I can't blame any writer for using that term as a shorthand to describe Paris Bennett's crime. You seek someone with whom you can form a durable bond, right? Someone who pens real letters while others text and tweet? Someone who offers memorable conversations instead of the forgettable chatter, endless posturing and petty duplicities that pass for friendly interaction these days?
That person is me.
