How terribly sad. I really hoped she was hiding out.

RIP Faiza

Rest in peace, Faiza.
I hope there will be justice for you.

I hope there is a full investigation done. It doesn't feel like suicide to me.

Such a pretty young woman. If she was driven out of her home at 12 days after birth, as she wrote, I am really wondering how this could happen? She would have, I am sure, being still recuperating. That shows an extreme disregard for her health after just delivering a baby/grandbaby. Right there, oh my gosh, should be investigated THOROUGHLY. I hope they did a drug/poison screen on her remains because suicide is not ever typically seen in her community.

All summer then all winter too in Texas, I doubt there will be enough for toxicology. I doubt she was literally murdered but putting a new mother out on her own, expecting her to go without food and water all day and to walk where she needed to go in that climate - I'm sure the men in her life couldn't be more pleased with what happened to her and quite seriously believe it to be God's will. Furthermore they will be able to portray Faiza however they choose for her to be remembered in their family and community.

IMO, this is all too accurate, especially the part about being God's will. It's heartbreaking and unfair.
