Good question. He seemed to be pretty rural... perhaps there was a fresh water source nearby and they were hunting.

oh I just assumed they were fenced in on the property but you're right they must've been somewhat loose to frighten the police/visitors

someone must've been giving them water too - there's no way they would survive that amount of time without it IMO

How awful. :( I sure hope his death was the result of a medical condition and the dogs didn't eat him alive.
