‘The FBI Texas City office and the Galveston Police Department announced today a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the identification and location of the family members caring for a boy whose body was found on a Galveston beach more than two weeks ago.

“It’s heartbreaking that no one has come forward to identify this boy or offer clues as to what happened to him,” said Assistant Special Agent in Charge Ed Michel of the FBI Houston field office. “The FBI is offering its resources to the Galveston Police Department to help them get answers.”

The boy, who investigators believe may be three to five years old, was found deceased on a Galveston beach on Friday, October 20, 2017. The investigation into the child’s death is ongoing and nothing has been ruled out at this time, including accidental death.

“At this time, we are focused on identifying the family of ‘Little Jacob’,” said Galveston Police Captain Josh Schirard. “Someone has to know who they are and who ‘Little Jacob’ is,” he added.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for the successful identification and location of the family members caring for this young boy at the time of his disappearance.

Anyone with information should call 1-800-CALL-FBI or 1-800-225-5324.

The FBI has also created a “Seeking Information” poster with a composite sketch of the boy that will be updated periodically so the public is encouraged to visit the site regularly. The poster will also be shared on Twitter @FBIHouston and [URL="https://mobile.twitter.com/mifbihouston?lang=en”]@miFBIHouston[/URL].

Clear Channel Outdoor and Lamar Outdoor, through the Outdoor Advertising Association of Texas, will be running digital billboards featuring “Little Jacob’s” composite sketch and the FBI tip line. The billboards will run in the Greater Houston Area, throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

Clear Channel Outdoor and Lamar Outdoor are donating the advertising space as a public service to the community.’

It may not be possible for people to safely come forward, or come forward at all, if human trafficking is involved.

I've been sharing the Spanish language flier with various Mexican groups. Meanwhile, I'm still going through fliers. The Mexican databases are very difficult to get through, and these groups seem to be more up to date. But it's a slog going through the posts.

I've been sharing the Spanish language flier with various Mexican groups. Meanwhile, I'm still going through fliers. During yesterday&#8217;s presser, a Spanish-speaker did step up to the podium so I assume she reiterated the points made in English by Capt. Schirard and the Asst FBI agent to the media. Also the FBI has a Twitter page in Spanish (@miFBI). I&#8217;m not sure if there is one on FB.

Thank you for sharing Little Jacob&#8217;s flier and continuing to search the Mexican databases. Capt. Schirard said yesterday that reaching more people in this case is key.

Wouldn't surprise me if the perps followed Bella's case. I'm with Tangled and hoping they do the isotope testing although I feel strongly it's local as it was in Bella's case. Burking. Drugs. I hope they do the isotope testing as well, I think it would definitely give us a better idea of who Little Jacob is, and maybe that is part of the testing they are waiting on; but I agree with your feelings - I think it's local

Law Enforcement is now calling him "Little Jacob"

The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to Little Jacob's identity. Billboards will go up in surrounding areas and states as far as Kentucky.
The case will continue to be treated as a homicide until proven otherwise. There is still no COD as they are still awaiting tests results from the autopsy. LE and beach patrol have collected dozens of articles while beach combing and have taken all items found into evidence and are sorting through it to see if any items relate to this case.

Bumping your post because I wonder if anything they found is related to Little Jacob? If they found clothing I wish they would release a photograph or a description. I think the clothing and the blanket pictures that were released were pivotal in Bella Bond's case. IIRC they matched RB's FB posts with little Bella. I also think McCarthy's friends recognized the leggings and blanket and told LE after RB told them CPS had taken Bella that all of Bella's stuff just disappeared from the apartment. Evil vile woman!

Bella was wearing her pants and wrapped in a blanket and then in a bag, then a duffel bag. since she was in a bag, I do not think her shirt was pulled off from the current. she may well have slept without a shirt, my 4 year old does sometimes. or they took it off. I don't know
