Do we know for sure this child was medically fragile? I haven't seen anything from LE stating that Jacob had any health issues besides being abused and neglected.

if they were of low means they could have qualified for help for care. but I know its also stressful and time consuming and maybe they lacked maturity and home training. but I agree there has been talk of some type of syndrome but they've only said he was neglected and abused.

There was speculation that he suffered from Cornelia de Lange Syndrome, but I don't know what kind of (if any) health complications are associated with it.

Also, in regards to the excessive hair growth on his face, I wonder if that could be related to their saying he was malnourished? People suffering from anorexia for example, start growing fuzzy hair on their body. It’s caused by the body attempting to keep warm. I’m wondering if the artist sketch purposely kept the hair off and plumped his cheeks in an effort to show what he looked like when he was alive and healthy. Perhaps he was so underweight/malnourished by the time of his death that they were afraid family/friends would not recognize him in that state.

A few pages back, the discussion about an abandoned house thats boarded up. I just left Galveston , yesterday and there is a house thats boarded up and old. its right across from the beach and i only remember seeing it because I joked about buying it to my husband and that being our new beach house. its just a small square house but its boarded up and a shack! just assumed it was left from the Hurricane.

I think he is too old and too big to be little Jacob. Luis went missing in June 2015 at age 6. He has a March birthday. That would make him 8.5 years old in Oct 2017. Plus, Luis' height was reported as 3'8". Little Jacob was only 36 inches-- meaning Luis was already 8 inches taller than Jacob when he went missing. Sometimes mistakes can be made in height reported of missing kids but I think 8 inches and an age that far off makes this unlikely to be him. JMO.
