Was his extended family living in the US (or even the same city)? I don't know that we can fault them for not knowing if they didn't live in the same place of if she had cut off contact with them. Abusers are very good at lying and manipulating. She could have easily lied or sent them old photos of him for all we know. I understand your anger, though Ana. It hurts to think someone could have noticed and saved him.

6/22/18 Update: Next hearing 7/10; date pending with possible Motions filed by Def. Atty. Felony cases go to Grand Jury; additional charges possibly coming per FBI.
7/11/18 Update: Bond reduction hearing on 7/13 & Status Conf. hearing on 8/30.

Well, I couldn't read the Paupers Oath, as it's private.

A pauper's oath is a sworn statement or oath by a person of being completely destitute or a pauper, without much money or property. A person without the ability to pay court costs has the option to swear a pauper's oath to file a lawsuit without paying filing fees.
