Silver Alert issued for missing 70-year-old Garland TX man | Fort Worth Star-Telegram
Gary Lynn Chambers was last seen getting into a vehicle around 8:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of Travis Street in Garland, according to the alert. The vehicle was a gold colored 2008 Ford F-150 with the Texas license plate SZL0712.

This Silver Alert is still prominent on I 35 between Austin and Georgetown today (Jan 6, 2024). Very disconcerting that he hasn't been located. The description of why he's in danger is vague -- no mention of dementia -- but he did leave his house in his pajamas and is apparently still legal to drive.

The press release from the Garland PD (original post) says that he has a diagnosed mental condition.

It is good to know that the Silver Alert is prominent on the highway. It is very concerning that he has been missing for a week.

I am a little confused by the verbiage. Did he get into HIS gold Ford F-150 or did he get into an unknown gold Ford F-150?

The search for a missing Garland man came to a sad ending on Sunday when he was found deceased by Hunt County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Detectives are investigating the cause of death but there were no apparent signs of foul play, according to a press release issued by the Garland Police Department.
